NBA free agency: Gordon Hayward could sign with the Miami Heat

I would be SHOCKED if he went to Miami. The only reason to choose Miami over Utah would be the weather and no state taxes. Basketball wise Miami isn't a better place for him to win a championship. THe arguments made in the article are weak and laughable. Hayward could do a lot of things but the chance of him going to Miami is about as likely as pigs flying.
 
Yeah, he COULD sign with the Heat. He could also sign with CSKA Moscow. I think that's only slightly less likely...
 
The Heat are at the beginning of a rebuild. It's remarkable they came close to making the Playoffs, but this mostly shows how bad the EC is.
 
Hayward, Drajic and Whiteside... Not really better than the Jazz can offer... I wouldn't put it past Riley to get it done though.
 
I was trying to lure him to our city league team here. He would be great. He COULD sign here too.
 
Miami is always going to be an alluring FA market.

No state tax, it's Miami, and Pat Riley is incredibly respected in NBA circles.
 
Just don't see it. Gordon Hayward doesn't seem like the type to hinge his career on Miami MAYBE being able to sign some other high profile free agents LATER. Makes anti-sense.
