Which player do you want the Jazz to draft in the first round, assuming they pick at #24?

Who would you draft at #24 for the Jazz assuming these options are on the board?

You can choose multiple players listed. There's no limit.

Eh, DJ Wilson got cut off. Maybe he's more for #30 anyway.

I didn't pick Hartenstein, but he might be my honorable mention. I think he's a more athletic/explosive version of Montejunas.

Jonathon Jeanne, Stifle Tower II

Let Withey walk and draft another Frenchman to backup Gobert. He may be alittle weak but he has great defensive potential which is the jazz identity

Jeanne isn't Gobert. Not nearly the defender and weak on the boards. On the other hand, he DOES play solid defense and has a more refined offensive game. I think he'd thrive in Utah and would give the Jazz a solid backup to Rudy for years. He's raw and needs to get stronger, but he has a high ceiling (and I prefer to see the Jazz pick for upside in the draft). He desperately needs to get stronger and learn how to box out. If he's there at #24 (unless something crazy happens) he's the guy I'd like the most.

Then at #30, give me Semi Ojeleye and I'm a pretty happy guy. Still think the Jazz should spend some cash to move up from #42 to get into the late 20's to mid 30's for their 3rd pick as well.

It terrifies me to see people pick Jeanne. He will be nowhere near good as Gobert.

I would try to get Jawun Evans with 30 or 44th pick if he slides that much. He is good.

My guess is out. The 24th pick becomes part of some trade package.

The only way I would trade either of these first rounders is if they were part of a trade package to get a star player in return. Not a role player or a fringe all star type like Bledsoe, but an actual star like PG or Butler. We are likely going to be over the cap for years to come so these picks are a valuable opportunity to add talent on cheap contracts that we can keep long-term if we choose. And they are even more valuable in this draft because of how deep the talent pool is. We'll be able to a pick a guy at 24 or 30 who could have been a lottery pick in a weaker draft.

That would not be the ask.

Plus: Go back to the Jazzfanz pre-Gobert draft. I bet the Gobert comments were not more favorable than the point-of-view on Jeanne. Crapshoot.

I'm in the say no to Jeanne camp. I know people think he can play with Gobert... he can't he's not nearly as good. I don't think he's a shooter and if you play him and Gobert together he'd get lit up... this guy going to switch out on guards?

If Jeanne makes it it will be as a center. Plus I think we are ignoring how many tall skinny guys have come into the league and failed.

Why do you say Jeanne is weak on the boards?

I really think Markelle Fultz would be a great fit for this Jazz team. If he is not available at 24 I've not decided who would be the second best fit.
