Which player do you want the Jazz to draft in the first round, assuming they pick at #24?

Who would you draft at #24 for the Jazz assuming these options are on the board?

Don't know about this Jeanne guy but if he's a center why would you pick him #1 to be a backup? We need to get a potential starter.

There are probably 4-6 starter quality players available in most drafts after 20. Sure you want to get them, but no one can predict the future. And just because we might target Jeane to back-up Rudy, we don't know he does not evolve into a starter.

I'll be clinically pissed if Bam is on the board and we draft Jeanne.

They wont draft an undersized center who is just a slightly above average rebounder or a severely undersized PG with limited athleticism.

Severely undersized and limited athleticism? Biggest wingspan ever for anyone under 6'0 and a way better athlete than other guards his size.

We can act like Evans is a better athlete than Trey Burke, but he measured worse in every combine measurement possible, athletically and physically.

Burke measured out at 6'1 which is two inches taller than Evans. Again that is a lazy comparison.

I see a athletically subpar short guy who has trouble finishing at the rim, a "developing" 3 pointer, and someone who uses "craftiness" to score on college players. He may end up better than Trey Burke, but it certainly isn't a guarantee. He carries a lot of the same deficiencies. Admittedly, getting that guy at 24 is a better deal than where we got Burke.

There are similarities... Evans seems to compete harder on defense and uses his wingspan better than Burke did... his steal rate is higher. He was also able to get more shots per minute. I think he will improve... had Burke improved he would have been a good backup... he didn't improve though and had a hard time accepting what his role is. I think he has a higher ceiling than Burke and I think at very least he is a good backup pg... not what you are hoping for with a first round pick I guess.

I think I'm more luke warm on him... I just think Jeanne is bust material and I think there is no way in hell he plays the four. His shot did not fall in whatever league he played in last year... why is he all of a sudden this unicorn who will knock down threes, guard on the perimeter, and block shots. I would hate the pick so much.

Watching that game last night I couldn't imagine Jeanne out there playing with them.

No, they'll consider drafting a prototypical power forward with excellent length/power/quickness, shooting touch out to 18 feet, the ability to finish at a high rate around the rim with soft hook shots and dunks, and the ability to defend and affect plays all over the floor.

I'll go out on a limb and say TJ Leaf. If the Jazz are trying to build something to even have a sliver of hope to compete with the Warriors at some point down the line, you can't pass up a player with the offensive IQ and versatility Leaf has. Then you hope and pray that if the Jazz managed to make Joe Ingles into a passable NBA athlete and good defender/shooter they can do the same with Leaf over time.
