Yes, it's the most stacked division. Luckily this isn't the NFL.

Still though. The 10th or eleventh best team in the West would be 4th or 5th in the east next year. The desparity between the 2 conferences has officially gotten out of hand.

So to make room for Millsap, Denver is letting Gallinari walk...sure wish there was a way the Jazz could get him.

T wolves are gonna be good.
Whole damn division gonna be good.

I don't understand why Minnesota is paying Taj Gibson 14 million dollars a year. Other than being a veteran presence what does he bring to the table that their other bigs can't provide? They realize that their bench was a dumpster fire last year right? And they spend 14 million on a 32 year old PF? K...

So I was thinking...

It actually would take only a minor change to pretty well normalize the schedule and get rid of conferences. Each team could play all but 5 teams 3 times, the remaining 5 twice and still play 82 games. The teams that each team played twice could be based on division. Northwest plays the southeast twive, Southwest and North east, central and midwest. Right now teams play every team in their conference 3 times (42 games) and every team out of their conference twice (30 games). That's 72 out of 82 games that are exactly the same leaving just 10 new games and half of those would be played at home. Just 5 travel games in the whole season would a team go to a different city than they would under the current schedule. 5

I am firmly in the no more conferences camp.

I feel like this is the most intriguing off-season I can remember league wide. Maybe I'm just paying more attention, but it seems like teams are really going all out and acquiring a lot of talent.

Also, Rudy said he was going to recruit Gordon to stay with the Jazz. He's in San Diego and will likely be a factor in things like this moving forward. So glad that he's ours.
