Hayward to Boston

I want to see a Jazz/Celtics game on Christmas Day.

Hayward really did dirty on Jazz Nation today. And all because of a stupid bromance.

I know one thing, I would never, ever bet against Rudy. Jazz/Celtic battles from here on out will be epic.

Not sure why you guys are so mad. Best of luck Hayward. Soon you will realized how good you had in Utah.

I think it's because we feel he strung us along. His mind was made up. He should have let us know sooner. I find it hard to believe he made this decision this morning. The peace sign after his last game, never saying he wanted to stay, the Robyn instagram with the shamrock shirt obviously was meaningful etc. So many signs. He knew and pretended like he was still deciding. In retrospect, I think he's known for a long time.

It's a failure that the Jazz didn't get him but the Celtics not getting him means they are committed to winning. Alright dude.

Seeing how Ainge has already won a title and has a top 5 pick next year and the #1 seed in the East and just drafted a kid at #3 and signed a top FA...

I'd say Boston is alright.

Sure seems like it... I think Indianas finest had something against us... Lyles posting the laughing gif... enjoy competing for playoff time bro... so glad we moved on from him too.

I think mitchell has some juice... rudy is pissed and I think this will only make his bond to Utah more concrete. I like Ricky... joe, Hood, return of AB... maybe Exum can get after it. I don't care if we top out at Memphis type success... we gotta press on.

No doubt the team rides on Rudy now. The Jazz do have talent and you can bet Rudy is playing pissed off next year. I think Rubio will surprise as well. We have a good FO and coach. We'll be fine.

His best player has a bad hip and they will have some serious decisions on who to keep. I'm sure crowder is super happy to have the guy.

It has drove me nuts for years that the local media would defend Hayward from all criticism. His behavior or performance was never criticized even when slight criticism was deserved.

And it wasn't like he was best buddies with the media, he was the same cold distant self.

All 2 games a year. He'll be a distant memory soon.

You don't? I mean, in theory I guess I can understand why people don't hate him. But I can't understand why one doesn't understand why he is hated by many here.

Hayward is gone today because DL tried to get cute and let Hayward go find his own deal. That's a fact.

DL screwed up. His drafting sucks (and KOC as an extension).

If we drafted better, he's still here. If we made better trades, he's still here. If we signed him to a max deal, he's still here.

This is on DL, not Hayward.

Hood, Favors and Exum all need to have break out years. And if Mitchell is legit...

Gordon, you should reread what you wrote so that you will realize what you have done. You had something here in Utah and you have given it away. Often we fail to see the forest for the trees or like Joni Mitchell wrote, "you don't know what you got till it's gone."

Yes, Gordon, you don't realize what you have left behind and I think someday you will regret it.
DWill came to realize that. Gordon's legacy in Utah would have included a jersey in the rafters and probably a statue outside the arena. Does he think he'll eventually have his number retired in Boston? Maybe. But it will take one helluva 10yr stretch to get that to happen, including a couple of championships. Otherwise, he's just remembered as a very good player, but not up to the caliber of the Celtic greats of the past.

I think most don't care that he left, more the way he went about it.

#Awkward

#Coward

But he has walked away from adversity and confrontation everytime except for one loose ball scramble with Chris Paul.

We all know why the fans reacted so positively about that loose ball scramble...it was the first sign of fight Hayward had shown in seven seasons.

I agree he had made up his mind a long time ago. Going to Miami was just a diversionary tactic to make people think he was undecided. He knew he wanted to go back with Stevens, and I think that was biggest reason for him going to Boston. Nothing wrong in wanting out but a man of character would've made his wishes known up front and not put on this act that he did.

He gave so many compliments to the Jazz organization and the people who worked with him, and yet he betrays them. Gordon, you should reread what you wrote so that you will realize what you have done. So the Jazz have no accountability here?

None of this is Utah's fault?

Boston is better. Better organization, better city, after endorsements come in, better money.

Utah's had plenty of chances to get better and they messed up. This is their consequence.

Maybe having the lowest payroll in the NBA the last two years wasn't the brightest idea in hindsight.
