Summer League Notes And Discussion

I remember two going in and the rest of the stuff was around the basket... could be wrong, but the makes seemed like outliers. His touch around the rim was good and he does not look lost out there and some guys looked like they had no clue what was going on.

Lydon for example was looking at Hernangomez who was kind of signaling him where to go and just looked scared his first game.

Also, Chriss is awful and he does not seem to enjoy anything in basketball right now. I think his brain is completely broken. He was cool when he signed my son's basketball.

I also still love Jack Cooley... that guy just makes people want to quit playing. He'd be the guy at the gym that no one wants to play against. I wouldn't be opposed to having him as an energy big off the bench. His teammates friggin love him too.

Make/misses really matter on Bradley's mid-range shot, just that he looks comfortable taking them and has the confidence to.

I may die on this hill, but that small gym was bad... I'm not sure I saw anyone shoot well. I'm not sure if it is just SL and most of the games are that bad. Saw a couple games where I thought the teams shot the ball pretty well in the main arena.

Guy I had not watched that I loved was Mike James... that guy is going to be solid.

Love Cooley. Wouldn't mind having him back somehow.

Cooke is a scrub. lmao at that dumb writer who ranked him in the lottery and had Kyle Kuzma out of the top 60. That guy is a noob.

It would be amazing if DL finds another Ingles-like gem. No doubt some of these waived/not signed guys will get signed by a different team.

They can do what the Spurs did with Johnathan Simmons - tell him to pack it up mid-SL(he was with another team in SL) and that they will sign him... and he did.
Well that would be wise IMO. I don't see a better SF prospect in that age range.

RN my plan would be to cut Diaw, give Willie Reed a 1 year/6 million contract, and to sign Eric Griffin and Troy Williams to guaranteed contracts close to the minimum.
