2017 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

This is why I say people are dumb.

Teams can't play 5 guys for a whole series! Cmon guys. Think a little.
Just that guys like Brandon roy, Sidney moncreif, and hornacek don't move the needle much for me against guys like magic, dirk, jordan, the brow, durant, curry, mailman, etc.
I will kind of look at a 6th man and maybe the bench as a whole but that's about it.

Also I don't vote based on a 7 game series. I just vote for which team I think is better.

Also, you are dumb, dummy

But when your voting and your having a hard time voting when the two starting fives are pretty even, u look at which bench is more talented, and vote on that team

That's very nice.

Those 5 guys, they aren't playing all of the minutes. A teams bench is incredibly important. Hell, it's why the Jazz were as good as they were this last year, they had depth! Those guys there, they should move your needle a little.

Another case of "How is this guy still available?"

With the 114th pick, Gandalfe selects:

DOLPH SCHAYES

Most the players drafted did play all the minutes in the finals. A lot of these guys played 40+ minutes in playoffs and especially finals.

The bench does matter but just not much. Starters win series. GS wins because of their big 4, Cavs win because of their starters. No better bench from Cavs helps them win that series but another star starter does. A 6th man can make a difference.

For me I glance at the bench for a difference maker. But I only care who the bench is if I can't decide because the starters are fairly even.

Even with him on the floor, the shooting is awful.

From the guy with Hill (0.314) and Webber (0.299) starting at the wing and PF. Do you have a center yet? not many good stretch 5 rim protectors left on the board.

How many open looks will Allen/Petro get against Giannis & Hondo? And those 2 on the defensive end. It will be ugly.

You drafted shooting but have matchup problems galore.

I see your point and it's a good one.

Ya this is how I look at it when I vote. I guess that makes you and I dumb to some people. Doubt calling me dumb helps get my vote though

I will say these players being picked are still really good and depending on matchups starters might change. So I guess they are useful in that way.

Other then Durant, he has almost no 3pt shooting. With Durant on the bench, the other team can really pack it in. Lol

You guys sure are obsessed with 3P shooting.

You've got KAT so that wins the tournament right there. He's a X time AllStar, X time All NBA. Can't protect the rim to save his life. No one will win this thing without a rim protector, there is too much fire power. You can pack the paint all you want and you are not going to stop most lineups.

Your backcourt of Lillard and Mitch Richmond is going to get destroyed. You needed to match Lillard with an elite defender to have any chance whatsoever. Richmond's ORtg is 110 and his DRtg is 110. Over 14 years he has a total of 20 DWS. Gonna get burned.

Lol. KAT isn't starting. And to say he gives 0 rim protection is ridiculous. Ewing my STARTER provides elite rim protection

113th pick - Sidney Moncrief

Most underrated player in NBA history. Great pick. 2 way players SHOULD win this tournament since every team has offensive firepower. If you isolate on the scorers who are defensive liabilities (AI, Curry, Isiah, Dirk, Nash, Barkley, etc), it is hard to compensate with other players since there are four other all time greats on the floor. In reality, 2 way players should wins this thing.

You used your fourth pick on a bench player? Interesting strategy.

But great point on Ewing, he will be solid for you, I stand corrected on that one. He just won't make up for sieves at 1 and 2.

Kyrie Irving/Tiny Archibald
Vince Carter
Julius Erving/Adrian Dantley
Amar'e Stoudemire
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Im pretty happy with that lineup so far. I missed a couple players I really wanted but still a great lineup. Probably the most athletic starting lineup in this competition.

I have the real GOAT who is has the most unstoppable and most reliable move in the NBA ever Kareem. Vince carter can just dunk over all these 7 foot big men ya'll got. Dr J and Vinsanity would put up some good highlight reels. Amare was simply amazing pre injury and out played Duncan at 22 when Duncan was in his prime. I have a PG that is was awesome this year. Not the best defender but outplayed Curry 2 years in a row in the finals. I have Dantley who is a scoring machine off as my 6th man. My backup PG is the only player ever to lead the league in assists and scoring in the same season when he won the league MVP. He might start over Kyrie sometimes.

I have one more player that I really want. Hope he is on the board. I guess I would finally look at any trade offer for someone drafting soon. Although I am not sure it matters now.

Congratulations, you are the first person to ever draft him in the history of these drafts.
