The Nuggets currently have seven (thanks Cy) players who can, or do, play PF:

Wilson Chandler
Darrell Arthur
Trey Lyles (lol)
Juancho Hernangomez
Paul Millsap
Kenneth Faried
Tyler Lydon

Their main Cs are Nikola Jokic and Mason Plumlee

PG: Mudiay, Jamal Murray, Jameer Nelson
SG: Gary Harris, Will Barton

Wilson Chandler is obviously our best option here, but with Gallinari gone you can basically kiss this wish goodbye. Chandler had a fantastic season, plays on both ends, and can play SF/PF well. He's the dream fit, but we don't get him without giving up a pretty darn good asset. They don't have another single true SF on the roster, Barton sometimes spends spot minutes there. Maybe they had that in mind for Juancho but to me he's a true PF.

Juancho is another total stud, but likely one Denver will refuse to get rid of-- barring us sending some sort of asset towards them.

That brings us to Faried and Arthur. Faried is on a brutal 2/24 mill contract, with neither year being options. For comparison, Alec is roughly on a 2/22 contract.

Arthur is being paid 7 mill a year, with his next year being a player option.

Their defensive prowess seems to be a wash, but they bring separate things to the table-- Arthur has a good outside shot, while Kenneth is an elite rebounder on both ends, and has a very high offensive rating for the minutes that he spends out on the floor.

Anyways. Anything here that compels us? I'm thinking we can send Burks for either Arthur or Kenneth, but I'm not sure either one would be worth it. Can we steal Juancho from them?

A trade for Ed Davis is another idea i like, seeing as they need the cap relief.

With the way Mitchell is playing in summer league, I think the Nuggets are done dealing with us. Fool me once...

NM. Does look like it's maybe $4M more over 2 years. I'm not sure that value will make any difference to anything.

We need a PF who can't shoot worth a lick and is a sub-par defender?

I dont see how he fits Utah at all. You can buy energy bigs for cheaper.

We need rebounding. He's elite at that. Any of the PFs we could land that can shoot only shoot from deep moderately (like 36% at best) and are all atrocious rebounders. JaMychal Green may be an exception. There are a lot of reasons Faried isn't an ideal fit, but if I had my choice of who would be more useful on the bench between Burks and Faried, it'd be Faried.

So a Rubio-Hood-Ingles-Arthur-Gobert lineup has a 100% spacing rating according to NBA Stats/Nick scaria

Arthur shot 45% from 3 on 1.3 makes

I don't see anything there that I like.

Paul Millsap- Not happening
Wilson Chandler- Intriguing, but as you pointed out it's not happening
Juancho- They won't trade him
Faried- Doesn't fit the stretch 4 role we need filled
Arthur- Doesn't fit the stretch 4 role we need filled
Lydon- Was just drafted by them and I don't think they'd move him. I'm not even sure they can under league rules?
Lyles- **** no

Why doesn't Arthur fit the mould
