Okay this deserves it's own thread. I noticed that a good amount of the Jazzfanz faithful are advocating Derrick Williams as the guy we should choose if we get the number 1 pick in the 2011 draft. But I see greater logic in choosing Irving. Kyrie Irving is the right pick. If Williams can't play the three or gaurd other SF's, than we will be stuck with 4 Power forwards, 2 of them undersized. sure jefferson and favors may be able to play the 5, but that is not their natural position. If we draft Irving we will have better trade assets if Irving translates to the NBA (Namely Devin Harris. Sure we could still trade Millsap if we drafted Williams, but i am thinking Harris may have more trade value becasue Millsap is an undersized big man). We have already learned how hard it is to win if you have an undersized big men. Drafting Williams will similar on the defensive end to having booz and millsap at the 4. and quite honestly, Irving has all the tools and ability to be a stud at the next level as long as he is not injury prone. Could you imagine if Irving, Hayward and Favors all developed and reached their full potential. holy Cow!!! The Jazz would be Really really Good!!!! Irving is the right fit for the Utah Jazz!
