2017 Annual JazzFanz Current Players NBA Draft

It's possible. I've got about five different directions to go depending on others' picks.

Damn, .... you can teach us old folks a thing or two about drafting... LOL... it's like you're playing chess while we're all playing checkers.

Embiid is the hardest guy to evaluate for voting purposes. How do you vote on potential when he hasn't been able to even stay on the court? If he can be counted on for 2 of the 7 games in a series is that enough to tip the scales for the entire series? Tough one.

As a voter, I think you should count on him for at least 3 games, and anywhere up to 5-6. Many of his games missed have been due to the team being overly cautious because they know it wasn't their time to "go for it" yet.

That changes this season.

Also, even in the games he was healthy he only played 25 minutes per game.

And while he puts up some eye popping numbers (29 points per 36, 11 rebounds per 36, 3.5 blocks per 36), he also puts up some bad numbers too. 5.4 turnovers per 36, 5.1 fouls per 36, only shoots 46% from the field which for a big is pretty bad, is kind of a ball hog taking 20 shots per game in addition to all the shots he takes while getting fouled..... on the other hand he gets to the line an eye popping 11 times per game and shoots a good percentage from the line (78%). Also shoots 37% from 3 which is really good for a guy his size.

So, like you said, he is very hard to predict.

IMHO, just going off stats, I think if healthy he should definitely be in the top 3 centers at least.

Offense isn't the only part of basketball.

He's elite defensively.
