2017 Annual JazzFanz Current Players NBA Draft

White Chocolate

Jazz are a better defensive rebounding team with Gobert off the floor.

Does that make any sense? Did you see how bad we were at rebounding in the playoffs without Gobert?

On/Off stats are dumb.

Explain to me how Drummond has the most double-doubles in the last 3 years if he is such a bad player.

What about being #1 in contested rebounds and still getting 13.8 a game?

Arguing just to argue.

I like how all of your arguments are based off of on/off stats.

Sorry that Detroit's bench rebounds and plays better defense against opposing benches than the starters do.

A 0.04 difference with Rudy. Maybe you never took stats, but that's not a large enough difference for there to be any real impact.

On/Off stats aren't dumb, you just don't like them bc they don't favor you right now. I've seen you use them before, so obviously they weren't dumb then.

Be honest here. Where has anybody said he's bad? We're just saying he's not as good as Jordan, which even his coach agrees with.

On the defensive end. Which I agree with. Drummond is the better rebounder. Can we agree on that?

On both ends.

You can't find any stat that tells me that Drummond is good on offense.

The man uses almost 30% of his possessions on postups where he averages 0.7 ppp. That's awful, and it shows a distinct lack of awareness. Drummond could be very, very good, but in his 4-5 years of playing, he hasn't shown the ability to do that yet.

And yes, he's probably a better rebounder, but honestly, that don't mean that much.

Jordan plays with Paul. That would help Drummond out a lot if he had a good PG.

Another thing that I haven't brought up yet. We're projecting players for next season.

I'm willing to bet Jordan puts up worse stats this year without Paul.

That just makes the pick even worse.

It's also who they're playing with on our team.

Jordan plays with Harden, Harden is a really good passing guard.

Look what he did for Capela. Jordan is >>> Capela.

Unless if you want to say that team construct doesn't matter, and we're just getting the best base statistical players we can. Is that what you're saying?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying.
