Another Sign of Bolomboy's Demise

Gotta wonder if it was his or the coaching staff's decision to try to make him into a shooting/playmaking 4. Whoever did that killed any chance he had at being an NBA player.

Because there's so much demand for a player of his size to only hang around the rim? Look at how Millsap had to develop his game beyond just being a rebounder off the bench. And that was in the days before most 4's had range out to the corner 3.

There was a guy that played summer league and came to camp the same time as Sap Cory Violette. Cory is now the radio color man for Gonzaga. He and Sap had similar builds but Sap developed a stretch game and Cory got cut and played some DLeague.

There's a ton of demand for guys who can be effective rim runners and defend the pick and roll in space. There's is no demand for guys doing things that they are terrible about. Whoever decided that Bolomboy needed to do all of the extra stuff moved him away from what could have been his meal ticket. It's better to do one or two things you are good at than trying to do 10 things you are bad at.

There was NO demand for Bolomboy. He's a scrub. You throw him in the game with two minutes left and your team down by 30. No one ruined his by asking for him to develop a shot. You act as if Bolomboy was some kind of elite defender like Ben Wallace- or Gobert a couple of years ago.

He'll get cut and no one will pick him up as a roster player. He's just not that good. TBH, he already exceeded what most 2nd rounders do just by making a roster for a year.

I have no idea why you are insinuating that I think Bolomboy is a great player, but I can appreciate a good straw man.

Bolomboy wasn't an NBA player, and that's we he needed to work on the basics to have any chance. Becoming a threat as a rim runner is a legitimate NBA skill and something he could work towards. Becoming a stretch 4 was not.

A few Turkish teams are linked with Bolomboy, Including my fav team. (Tibor Pleiss, Austin Daye and CJ Mccollum's older brother Errick played for us last year)
