A civil war over gun rights is not equatable to a civil war over slavery.
Yup, that would be worth Darwin's award.

The gorilla in the room is the mental health crisis in America really. I mean we still don't know much about this guy but in most other cases it has been disturbed individuals, often people who were at one point and probably still should have been under a psychiatrist's care. We really need better dialogue around how to deal with our crappy mental health system if we truly want to make inroads into stopping these kinds of events.
They are still easy to purchase despite the laws. It's easy to convert semi into autos that needs to be shut down. They are being used in mass shooting so they are still a problem. We also need background checks to be enforced that are not or easy to get around. As well as other laws. There is a pretty direct correlation between number of guns owned and mass shootings by country and by States within the country that has by far the most mass shootings.
No, it wouldn't. The military is united under the interest of big oil and the federal government.I don't know a ton of active or ex-military personnel but the ones I have known all have guns and most have a Charlton Heston pry it from my cold dead hands attitude. These dudes will not be willing to shoot their neighbors in order to take their guns from them. If States were to split into factions it seems likely the military would as well. It's probably fanciful thinking to imagine the military remaining unified in such a scenario. Our military capability is so powerful that you're probably right that there wouldn't be civil war. Either some compromise would be reached or the country would split in two with nobody willing to enforce national unity(much too high a cost).
Frankly this whole "it'll be a CIVIL war" nonsense is ****ing non sense. Quit daydreaming, a state militia could immobilize any ****ing guerrilla group that tried arming and firing on people who disagreed with them. And it wouldn't go that far anyways-- this is just a scare tactic to paralyze progress. I don't have patience for that. I don't give a **** if I'm hurting some dudes feelings just because he *********** to the thought of firearms

Easy?
You have almost a year of waiting from clearance from the ATF (that entails a full federal background check that they take quite seriously), and that's just for a license. Then you're spending a minimum of 5 figures for a rifle. I think including this, they've been used in a mass shooting 3 times.
I've seen a few conspiracies popping up on Facebook. Crazy stuff.Has anyone seen the video of where it looks like shots being fired from the 4th floor of Mandalay Bay? I think it looks like reflections, but you know there are going to be some crazy conspiracies with this.
Lmao. Do those guys own the tanks, ships, and fighter jets? You're smarter than this Cy.
The military isn't a bunch of robots. Think of the background most of them came from.
And they don't have any control what the military does. Those guys follow orders. Most of the actual soldiers could give two ****s about those things.
