Gotta, we can only make laws around people once they have broken them.

I mean I should be able to drink and drive, speed run red lights and do whatever because I am a good driver and wont hurt anyone else. You should only take away those rights from me once I have hurt someone. More solid logic from Dutchy. Its my car you cant take it away or tell me what to do with it if I am not hurting anyone else with it.

I dont think we should ban guns but you are making really bad arguments that has suspect logic. You cant apply that logic to other things. We have drivers licences, laws for drivers and many safety features on cars to prevent injury and deaths. Why cant we do the same with Guns?

Living in a society means you give up some freedoms, rights and liberties to receive the benefits of society. You have to pay some amount of taxes, you have to have your car registered, you have to have an ID,

I'll bet he knows that. Judging by the laws regarding guns in the Netherlands. He just likes to tell Americans what their laws can or can't be. Should or should not be.

Yeah, that's never gonna fly in this country. This is the kind of situation the NRA will exploit to avoid any gun control at all, by claiming any regulation will eventually lead to extremes.

I absolutely agree that any history at all of violent behavior should disqualify people from owning guns. I have mixed feeling about the DUI thing, though. I could see somebody losing gun privileges for a few years, but if you're going to give them their license back at some point, they should get their gun privileges back as well. Non-violent members of society should not be permanently banned from opening guns.

Nukes don't kill people, Trump and Kim Jong-un kill people.
 
During testimony meeting today an old dude got up and bore testimony. He brought up the Vegas shooting. and how it might have been a conspiracy. We don't know for sure but the FBI is investigating. Apparently Fox News has made people think that there's a grand government conspiracy and cover up. Interesting how the same government that is too incompetent to run health care and education is yet somehow unbelievably competent enough to cover up stuff like Sandy Hook, Benghazi, and Las Vegas.

Why are republicans so stupid?

There is a segment of our society that is absolutely desperate for this to be a Muslim terrorist incident, and not a rich, white guy who went of the rails incident.

drunks are so limber/loose they seem to live charmed lives in driving accidents. It's the people they run off the road, rolling their vehicles usually, who die, if they aren't all killed head-on.

I have to pay attention when someone is drifting, falling asleep, or swerving in my line of progress. If I get sleepy, I should just pull over and sleep. There are some nice spots overlooking the Truckee river.

MGM is a liberal corporate, and about the only outfit on the strip that hasn't taken extreme security precautions already, and somehow reminds me a bit of the Rockefeller's World Trade Center. They sold it mere days ahead of 9/11. Some MGM insiders dumped a lot of stock in the week running up to the massacre. The shooter was a high-roller, meaning the hotel comped his room. He paid a $100,000 marker the day of the shooting... pretty clear he expected to walk away after his ammo was spent, maybe down a service elevator. A lot of people who've lugged guns and ammo boxes a bit question how he got all that stuff up to his room. You do know the hotels have cams on every door, even the service entries I suppose. The guy making perhaps twenty trips with golf bags or clearly heavy luggage should have been noticed....

Who knows.

Yeah alcohol stats are all ********, if you've been at a BBQ and tripped over the garden hose and end up in hospital cause you've had three cans its an alcohol related injury, or you're walking home from the pub and you get mugged, these stats are meaningless. They mostly just record that people drink and **** happens.

Drink driving is a different story there cause and effect are much easier to demonstrate, working nights from Thursday onward i normally drive with a fair bit of caution seen too many drunks run red lights.

Ron almost anything can be used as a weapon if you hold it right. Looking around my office now there are various objects in the environment that would make handy weapons if required.

here is the thing.

a nuke can not be used in self defense by an idnividualk. if you kick down my door to rob me and i detonate a nuke. i will murder innocent people. i will justifiably kill you! but a nuke is not worthy in a self defense situation!

now as a national socialist govenrment like the one you believe or a different variations of it in comes kicks my door down and tries to put me on a train like they did to a lot of my family in the 30's and 40's an ar 15, a benellie shotgun etc. will help protect me. their are ways i cna use those without my nieghbours getting killed.
