What's new

Gamethread: OKC Thunder @ Utah Jazz. 7PM MST.

Does Mitchell have a lot of promise? Absolutely. Has Mitchell played below my expectations - especially getting more minutes? Absolutely. If you're offended or feel the need to defend this, ball don't lie.

I am in agreement. Especially considering the hype he has been a bit underwhelming. However I love his energy, his ball handling and his defensive effort. He just looks rushed on his shot. I think it will start to fall for him. I still think he needs to learn how to deal with the fact that he cannot jump off one foot. More than a few times tonight that hurt him. If he could elevate off one foot he could have had a couple more clear looks, but the need to set both feet to jump hurt him. But he is athletic, I think he will figure it out. He will learn this isn't college where a well-timed quick-step or mini-hop cleared enough space for him to get both his feet set. Here he will have to learn other skills to get the same space, or learn other ways to attack the basket. But I think he will learn it. He has far more promise than any rookie we have had for a while, more than Exum really. I am excited to watch him grow.

Is it wrong to be glad that Hayward is gone, because this team seems so much more fun to watch without him than it would be with him.

Are you offended that we are arguing a point?

How right wing of you. Cry about free speech but then cry about people expressing their opinion on your opinion.

And now I would expect us to be favoured in 9 of our next 10 games. Hopefully Hood can get back soon.

Three really bad games. Archie, what you expect him to be, Michael Jordan at the start of his career? I think he is playing well, making some great plays -- did you see those drives and dishes to Rudy. He can get into the paint better than anyone of the team already. And he plays solid D and never stops hustling. Just is missing his shots. I think you need to put your glasses on.

How was the Denver game really bad?

I'm a little disconcerted how he's looked undersized when he's getting to the rim and getting blocked so easily. Still think he'll figure it out tho

A lot of smart people on here tried to temper the hype on Mitchell for this exact reason. You get people overreacting to a slow start to a rookie's career.

The head editor of SLC Dunk (or main contributor) has been saying Mitchell is going to supplant Hood in the starting lineup this year and become a super-star down the road.

weren't they also speculating that Exum would force the Jazz to trade Rubio half way through the season ?

Why would anyone concern themselves over something involving your expectations of anything? No one would be able to calculate that nor give two turds about it in the first place.

This is a discussion forum. Not sorry for my 2 cents.
