good news is it can't get any worse. It will only get better.

Sure it could. Gobert could go down for the year.

We definitely need to take better care of the ball. That is probably our biggest concern. Hopefully that takes care of itself with time. Lots of players in new roles will lead to turnovers as the figure things out. Just like Hayward struggled when he changed roles so are some of our guys. I am not that worried about it.
We have our main Scorer in Hood. It looks like he might average 20 ppg this year. That is pretty solid. With a few guys behind him Favors, Ingles, Gobert and Rubio looking to be close to 10+ ppg.
Jazz are also bottom 5 in 3 point percentage in the NBA but I dont expect that to last. We have some good shooters that are not shooting great but that will come around. They are getting good open looks.
In fact we are 22.6 FGA attempts per game wide(6+feet) open which is 3rd best in the NBA. We are top 10 in open shots(4-6 feet) at 22 per game. We have the 2nd least amount of tight (2-4 feet) shots at 22.4 per game. Lastly we are bottom 10 in shots attempted per game with a tight defener (0-3 feet).
So we have great spacing despite a bunch of people claiming otherwise on here. We just need to make our open shots. 60% of our shot attempts are wide open or open. That is one of the best in the NBA so far
We are only hitting 36.3 of our wide open shots. That is bottom 10 in the NBA. Golden State is #1 at 52.9. If we were closer to that our offense would be looking good.
One bad sign is the Jazz are bottom 5 at getting to the FT this year. I think that is just going to stay the same. We dont drive a ton and we dont get respect. But we are shooting above 80% as a team from the FT which is solid and 8th best in the NBA.
We are also moving the ball well and passing well as a team. We are 3rd best in the NBA at points from assists.
We officially are not the slowest pace in the NBA right now though! Memphis is slower than us!
We are moving the least in the NBA. We have the least amount of miles covered as a team per game.
Our defense is still allowing the least amount of shots even with all the turnovers (pace is a factor) and we are protecting the rim the 2nd best in the NBA.
Wide open shots does not correlate to spacing. The fact that we can't shoot from outside means teams don't have to defend us out there, meaning they can pack the paint and we actually have no spacing. I'm not saying this is the case, but it's probably the case.
If it happens... you knew it's your fault now right?

Meanwhile Burks is putting up career high percentages and riding pine.We know a lot of our shooters are well below their career averages and last years averages.

Right now Rubio pulling up from mid-range is one of our best shots. Low turnover chance and he is shooting 50% from mid-range thus far and 3/5 from paint non-restricted shots.
It's just a shame he has no floater game to speak of. I think if he really focused on adding a floater, he would do a much better job of drawing attention on his drives and opening up space by making the bigs/help defense collapse on him.
Actually, our best 3 scorers (Hood/Favors/Rubio), have all been on fire from mid-range. It's a shame it's not a good shot because they are a combined 29/53 from mid-range this year.
