As far as Jerebko I think he has a role on this team. He may have some DNP's but he'll also have those 5 minute stretches where he can bring the energy/attitude and maybe score a quick 5-6 points.

Hood needs a go-to that produces at a really high rate, like JJ has that slow back-down move followed by the push shot or the mid-range fall-away. It just works and gets him something when everything else seems off. Hood needs something like that. It used to be that little drift shot at the free-throw line, but that seems to have left him somewhat or they are scouting it better. But all in all Hood is performing well so far, aside from a couple of bad games. Will be interesting to see how this season progresses.
 
I'd rather Jerebko not get any DNP's. I think he should be a rotation player. The fact that he displayed vocal leadership on the defensive end last night despite it being his first real game as a Jazz man was huge to me. He was directing his teammates to the right spots. You also have a PF who can hustle, play defense and hit the 3. I don't know why it's a good idea to ever sit someone like that.
 
How many of you guys watched Jerebko when he played for Detroit? Dude was a stud and a fan favorite.
Getting him and Udoh were brilliant moves.

So you want Joe Johnson to get DNP's?



You're not playing 3 PFs in a normal game.

Johnson isn't playing SF anymore.

No, but i would like to see hm playing 15-18 min a game instead of 25+. JJ is older and we need to manage his minutes. Keep him as fresh as possible for the PO. He's already injured...

Don't forget Thabo. At one point he was a DPOY worthy wing, I think only Tony Allen was slightly better then him.
 
I think it will be clear by the time JJ returns whether Jerebko should be taking some of his time or not. I suspect he'll end up earning a little time going forward.

Or whether we should roll with JJ and Jerebko at the four and move favors. Backup center is Udoh... play the JJs at 4 or even Thabo some.
