What's new

I had a dream

Chad Ford has us taking Brandon Knight at 3.

That would suck...

We'll see how the combine goes, but I would think if we wanted Knight then we would trade down to the 5th/6th pick and get a better asset in return rather than just taking Knight at 3. We know the Cavs are taking Irving at 1. Or at least we are being told this is likely. At 2 it could be a trade that nets someone Kanter or Williams(depending on who they want). We would trade down so that we could get Knight a little later. I highly doubt the Cavs would take Knight at 4 since they will be taking Irving. Which leaves the Raptors at 5. I can see them wanting Knight here. But I am sure they would want Kanter more. So who knows?

Maybe. Maybe not. Knight could easily go 4 or 5 in this draft. In fact, that's what you'd expect.

I guess it depends on the Cavs at 4. The only way I see Knight going 4 is if the Cavs trade the pick to someone who wants Knight badly. Will they do it? No idea. We'll see how the combine goes I guess. Knight could have a great combine and raise his stock to being the 3rd overall pick. I guess we'll see.

Kanter and Jimmer would be an amazing draft, trade Millsap for a starting 3 and thats a great offseason.

These mocks must be assuming that the Jazz wouldn't pick Kanter when they already have Favors, Jefferson and Millsap, and they need help in the backcourt. They're just projecting based on need.

Thanks to kicky, I've now got this song stuck in my head.

And Mehmet Okur coming back from injury plus Ante Tomic stashed overseas. Our "needs" are at Point Guard and Small Forward.

That, and Kanter's competition has consisted of cones and coaches for two years now. And it might be 3 before he ends up playing.

If the Cavs take Irving #1 though, would they really take Knight at 4?

I mean, it's not like David Kahn is running the team or something.

I doubt Cavs trade it. They will probably take Jonas Valanciunas or Kanter (if he falls which is possible).

I agree. I don't see them taking Irving at 1 and Knight at 4. Unless they get some big offer for the 4th pick and we take Kanter at 3. Either way, your dream of the Jazz taking Kanter might very well come true. Which I am pretty stoked about to be honest.

This is textbook early stage cult formation. I hope you're stocked up on standard cult supplies such as Four Loko and date rape. That'll keep the following close.

I'm also hoping to hear "Pro se" two years down the road.

Memo's career is about over. If he ever plays again, he won't be nearly as effective as he once was. There's a reason why his injury is considered one of those few "career ending" ones.

Tomic? He's never going to play for the Jazz. Have you checked out his insane buyout?

Judging by our record and they way we played at the end of the year, we have needs everywhere. Length, athleticism, defense, shooting, PG, someone who can create, etc. We desperately need a go to man as well. A new "franchise player." Just look, most 3rd wheels right now would be our G2 men. Dead serious. Harden would be our #1 scorer, Jason Terry would be our #1, Deng/Boozer, Bosh...

Our roster looking towards the future: Basically, we have one really athletic big man who showed flashes of being real good. And one SG who hardly played through most of the year who started to look like a decent starter in the last month of the season. The rest of our roster has gaping holes.

We have a lot of work to do. Especially if you watch the teams that are still alive in the playoffs. All of them are better than us at nearly every aspect of the game.

this. Memo will never again be the tremendous athletic specimen that he was before the injury:
