What's new

Utah Jazz (5-6) vs Miami Heat (5-6) Tonight! 11/10/20117 7pm MST

What’s sad is that this is an easy schedule for us, best it’s going to be all year. Instead, we are stinking it up.

It's kind of weird, but I'm a bit encouraged after these games. The D is still elite but the offense is horrendous, but they are still in games. They just got to figure out how to be consistently mediocre offensively and not go through these quarter long dry spells, which is in the cards. Hood is starting to draw fouls at a nice rate

I take some positives out of what I've seen to. This team is constructed very different from last years'. Give them a few more games to start turning the corner offensively.

At what point will people notice this and stop defending him? Lonzo Ball his getting so much heat and Mitchell gets the rookie pass.
Rookies are almost never good shooters. A good way to predict whether they will become good shooters as they find their spots is ft percentage. Ball is 50% Mitchell is 86%

He is a good shooter. He has some poor shot selection, partly through inexperience and largely through necessity. But like a lot of people on Jazzfanz you have an inability to separate the process from the results.

You have an inability to look at facts. His results sucked in college and have sucked in the pros.

As soon as Snyder took Thabo out and put Favors in we started playing like trash and gave the lead away in the 4th.. What the hell was he thinking here?

It's like if you play players constantly and dont give them rest they get tired and perform at a sub-optimal rate.

Yeah, once we start playing playoff teams, I'm sure we'll turn it around.

very happy to see this as well.

be aggressive to the basket and will starting getting the calls.....especially at home

It's one thing to have losing streaks if the team is fun to watch, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I know that it's early in the season, but man I'm close to apathy. How can any NBA team win a game making only 4 or 5 field goals in a HALF. Everyone looks afraid to shoot. Even the historically best defense in the NBA could not win games without scoring some points consistently. We have ZERO reliable offensive threats. ZERO. The Jazz made 1 field goal in the 3rd quarter. 1. I've been with the Jazz through thick and thin since I was old enough to watch games, but this team makes me angry, and makes me want to stop watching. I only finished watching tonight's game out of pure morbid curiosity. Playoffs? How 'bout #1 pick in next years draft? At this point, we are THAT bad if you ask me.

I get it but I don't think Tahbo was tired at all. Again does not explain why he did not play Udoh instead. Favors was disaster on defense.

The saddest part is we aren't bad enough for a top pick. Our defense is good enough to keep us in just enough games to win 35 or so games this year.

Who gives a **** about anything except for the fact that he is and was an incredible pick at #13 in this year's draft? What the **** do people want besides teh Jazz to win games?

A few thoughts --

** Rubio is a PG that needs to be surrounded by more offensive talent in order to be more effective. This isn't working. He's trying to operate in space and defenders aren't bothering to guard our guys.
** Hood isn't a natural shot creator. He's a spot-up shooter who can attack close-outs. It's not going to work if he's our primary scorer.
** Ingles is 3 & D. Asking him to be a primary creator is going to make us limited.
** Gobert is better this year. His being able to hit free-throws is potentially a game-changer, but he needs spacing to operate.
