Minnesota open to trading #2 pick

If Cleveland take Irving #1, which is likely. Then does KOC make a trade with Minnesota to move up and include some veteran help? In some rumors David Kahn is stating they would be willing to move the 2nd pick for veteran help. So which players and pick(s) does KOC package to get to 2, if they even do because KOC thinks the player we want falls to us at 3? And wasn't it rumored before the deadline the Minnesota wanted Raja Bell for a 2nd rounder?

Just a thought maybe a combination of C.J. Miles, Raja Bell, and 12th pick to get to 2 which is wishful thinking and I realize probably not enough to get the 2nd pick, but my wish is that, and we draft at 2 Derrick Williams and 3 Brandon Knight. With a future core of Knight, Hayward, Williams, and Favors!

Well, Kahn's right he needs some veterans more than a superfluous player who duplicates what they already have. But the 12th pick is ten whole spots. I think he want more than CJ Miles. I wonder how much he really values Raja - especially after his last year. The wolves don't really have any holes, and yet they suck.

I want to somehow acquire Toronto's pick and draft Biyombo.

We are going to be fine at the three. There are three potentially great players and one of them is going to fall to three. I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland went with Williams over Irving (because there are other good PG in this draft and they have the 4th pick). Then Minnesota would pass on Irving because they believe Rubio is going to be the man. Then we could get Irving and move Harris for a solid 2 or a 3.

This writer suggests the sixers trade Iggy + the 16th pick for Minny's pick #2. And then select Kanter with it.

I have to believe Sixer fans have deluded themselves about Iggy's worth. No doubt he's a good player. But he has a bad contract to go along with an arthritic knee condition that is chronic. They can trade him, but they're going to have to eat a contract to do it.

Minnesota has pieces and could get solid real quick with some help.

Kahn traded #6 Brandon Roy for #7 Randy Foye and a million bucks on draft day 2006. I'd bet he'd take a million and swap 2 and 3, especially if KOC personally guarantees to take a player Minnesota doesn't want, but might strategically draft anyway.

ENES KANTER - this from nbadraft.net...
"Weaknesses: One of the big concerns scouts have with Kanter is his physical health. He has had a history of knee problems and there are concerns about his knees not checking out 100% when he has NBA physicals …"

I believe that was McHale who made the Roy trade. Kahn has only been there 2 years.

Another proposal
Jazz get: #2 overall & #20
Wolves get: #3 & #12

Jazz take Williams #2 and still have the 20 to add another wing or point

Minny is going to treat the number 2 as a sweepstakes prize in fielding offers. I don't see the worth in trying to move up one spot for Williams. Better to call Minny's bluff they take him and have contingency plans in place for auctioning off the 3. If deals for the 3 don't pan out, you take whoever you think is the 3rd best guy in the draft and don't look back. It would be a slight bummer to take a Knight or Biyombo there, but the nature of this draft is the price is going to be higher for guys who would ordinarily be drafted lower.

c'mon, Billy, dream bigger. Imagine scenarios where we end up with BOTH Knight and Biyombo. That would be an amazing draft.
Knight should be there at 3. Now we just need to move 12 up to 6 to snag Biyombo.

EDIT: and if Williams falls to 3, then you take him over Knight, IMO. Then get a PG next year.
