Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Young is small and looks like a subpar defender, but he is amazing on offense. Quick with ball, has a floater, great shooter, good passer.

I'm having hard time slotting him for a draft position...
Lottery as of right now. I still have him behind Sexton, but he could surpass him. I think k him and Sexton are obvious 1 and 2 as far as lead guards go.

Obvi Jazz fans going to fear Trey Burke 2.0, but I think he is a good deal quicker than Burke

I have been impressed with his passing the most. Also he has more burst and suddenness than I expected.

Yeah, he was splitting double teams at will in the final minutes of the Oregon game. No one could stay in front of him and stay close enough to contest his shot.

Besides the defense, I'd be worried about adding a dominant ball-handler to Quin's system. Only watched one game, but the ball is in his hands a lot. Think the optimal recipe for the future might be Donovan as the PG surrounded by 3 wings and Gobert. His recent stretch of playing under control and making passes makes me think that even more.

Trae Young is better at everything than Trey Burke. his slight build and lack of length is definitely a concern, but he is ultra talented.

I've often wondered if we should just run a bunch of wings and Rudy. Rudy is such a luxury that it almost seems like we could run ultra small lineups, plus Rudy and not give too much up in terms of interior defense and boards. Would be kind of fun to see.

I have only seen a little of Trae Young. He looks like a more score-first version of Tyus Jones from Duke. Probably he's a backup for most teams.
