What a find Matthews was. Looking at his college stats, I still don't know why he went undrafted. Perhaps because teams are looking for more size at SG nowadays and Wesley is "only" 6'5."
I'm looking forward to Millsap going for 16/10 and silencing a lot of critics. Even more, though, I'm excited to see how much Matthews can improve from his rookie season. Just amazing how much he developed in his first year. He's defintely someone who can pick up the scoring slack if Boozer doesn't return. I look for his role to really increase: 30 mins and maybe 14 pts./per.

This video proves he isn't very athletic though. Every dunk he has he has to be within 2 feet of the basket. Athletic player can jump from like 8 feet out and dunk the ball. Bring back Brewer, who cares that he can't shoot.
Ok, not really. We better resign Matthews. He reminds me of a Fisher, not the best but he comes up huge and makes big plays. We need a few more of these type players.

Yeah, that missed 3 and tip in against the Lakers was totally clutch.
Honz seriously STFU. you better hope your man love Hayward doesn't screw up late in a game or I'm gonna be all over you. He was a rookie and the three was half way down and the tip in looked good but didn't get the friendly roll. How bout you think of how many games he saved us and kept us in the game instead. Without some of his clutch free throws, three's and most importantly finishing fast break lay ups and off cuts the Jazz would have been toast
Matthews had some good dunks where he took on two guys and got the dunk over them. Better than Booz who would do a lay up when he should have dunked every time. Some of those lay up's were pretty acrobatic so I wouldn't call him not athletic.

Matthews get two inches of vert when he shoots. lol. Reminds me of a bunch of old white guys that play church ball.
