Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I wish we knew more about Jarrod Vanderbilt. When I read his profile write ups he seems like a talent that could be a steal. What is worrisome is that he can't shoot but his shot doesn't look broken. If Ben Simmons can be successful at the 4 why couldn't Vanderbilt?

Uhh, wut?

Here is my attempt at a big board entering the conference play. Didnt spend a ton of time on it, and probably already disagree with stuff on it, but I think it represents what I believe loosely.

I like it. Trae Young at 2 is bold. One of those things I'd think about doing but don't have enough balls. Donnie Tillman at 28. That's pretty cool, is he having a good season? I remember reading Coach K was super excited about getting him. Seemed more important than Akot who was an all american.

Wow if anyone had any questions before on your bball iq, which I didn't, this would pretty much show them the lack of. Comparing JV to Ben Simmons is ludicrous. Yes I know your not comparing their games directly but they literally have nada in common when it comes to bball. I must say I love bball needs like you though because you keep things funny with the comedy statements. Statements like this shows how a woman can know more about the game of bball then a dude does. I'm just assuming your a guy since 97 percent of posters on athletic team boards are.

That's a reach no doubt. Also Happ a great college player who can no doubt make the league but I don't see him in top 40 at all!

He could be similar to Sefalosha, but with a more reliable jumper. He's pretty old though for a lottery prospect. That's the only drawback. He'll be 22 at the start of his rookie season.
People Get way to caught up with age. TIime after time again 4 Year players come in and ready to contribute RIGHT away.

Nick King, Redshirt Senior at Middle Tennessee will have taken a rather unusual path to the NBA, but he's gonna make it in some form, which is very cool.

He's a former 5-star relic from the HS class of 2013.. (Jabari/Wiggins).. who assuredly many wrote off long ago.. I lost track of him..

Started at Memphis his first two years averaged 4 and 7 points, sat out a year to xfer to Alabama last year scored 3.3ppg, this year at Middle Tennessee he's averaging 23.3 points on fantastic shooting %'s. He's a sniper. 6'7" long arms..

He's about Exum's age too, could definitely be a year older given his path.

The kid I always hyped at Ohio State, who came in with D'Angelo Russell, Keita Bates-Diop, is pretty much exactly what I was hyping him to be for all these years. He is actually playing so well he could workhimself into the end of the 1st rd. He's really a legit player to keep an eye on moving forward, prototype NBA SF build and he can really shoot it and defend, he's smart.

2 of the best seniors in the nation, and y'all know I'm biased against old players..

Neither are going to be drafted. Diop Is a gleague player who is going to have to prove he can shoot it. He Has under achieved big time in college.

Luka Doncic
Deandre Ayton
Trae Young

Jaren Jackson
Collin Sexton
Mikal Bridges
Miles Bridges
Wendell Carter
Kevin Knox

Robert Williams
Hamidou Diallo
Dzanan Musa
Anfernee Simons
Chandler Hutchinson
Rodions Kurucs

Have to believe that the Jazz will turn this awful season into a learning experience for the guys who stick around and then add another solid player (or three) through the draft. Hopefully Tony Bradley pans out also. I think he’d safely be a lottery talent if he’d stayed at NC.
which Big is Bradley better then in this class? Lol At him being Lottery pick. Another year would of EXPOSED him more. He did right thing cuz his value was never going be hiigher. He is a Stiff, so tell me how another year at UNC Would of changed that?straight Homer thinking what you doing. Come on dont disrespect this beautiful game like that dude. Homerism

Uhh, wut?

Their pre-draft write ups are very similar. I am not saying that they are they same just that what is being said about Vanderbilt is similar to what was said about Simmons prior to play in the NCAA

Great ball handlers
Great passers
Great size and length
Great penetration
stat sheet stuffer
Poor shooter

Again I am not saying that Vanderbilt is Simmons but that their games are similar and I really wish that Vanderbilt could play to see of he can show us what he is capable of. I personally think from high school videos that Vanderbilt is a Ben Simmons LITE. Simmons has shown that he can play the 4 and do well at the NBA level I think with Vanderbilt's measurements He could also do well at the 4 BUT ...

With out seeing him at the NCAA level I worry

I have said I like Richards better then Bradley and he is a mid to late first rounder

The simple answer is he isnt nearly as good as Ben Simmons so Simmons success really has nothing to do with him.

And Simmons is playing PG.

I want to be super bold and put Trae at #1 but Doncic is too good and he is 6'8.

I have always had an issue with saying he is a PG because sure he handles the ball on offense but defensively he guards the other teams PF at least in the couple games I watched.

Justin Jackson ( Maryland ) out for season. ( torn labrum in right shoulder)

Wow. That's a real bummer for him. He was having an awful season too.

*Reading about it, it sounds like the injury was a preexisting problem that he aggravated and was bothering him all year. That might explain his poor year.*
