Jazz @ Miami Hotline - 1:30 PM - Sunday Sin Edition

What time?
I'm not saying it wasn't off of Mitchell. I'm saying there is no clear video showing it going off of Mitchell, especially to overturn the call.
Pause it at 1:27 and tell me who it is off.
Sorry, edited the post after you responded. Added this:

More specifically, at 2:22 Boler points out that it looks like the ball is on Richardson's wrist as it goes out, which he then raises. The wrist shown on the ball is actually Mitchell's left - this is easy to corroborate combined with the other angles.

This is completely unfair. Hood had been very good in the 4th. I hate when people over analyze these situations too much. I wish Hood would have worked for a better shot (which he had been doing a great job going 1-on-1 all game getting to his spot), but the shot wasnt as bad as people make it out to be.
You can't convince me a guy who ***** his pants nervous shooting a pull-up 3 on the road (that barely catches iron) is a good shot.

UtahJazz32: rather get a rich talented draft pick then get smoked in the 1st round
oneye: I love DMs interviews, he isn’t afraid to admit he might have missed something or made a mistake
oneye: Great person, great player, regardless of season we have an amazing player and person
yamers: im with utahjazz3
yamers: i dont wan't to watch this team get body slammed in 4 games by the warriors or rockets
yamers: and then have to get a ****** pick
yamers: people forget, durrant won 20 games, added westbrook and only won 23.
oneye: Losing isn’t a huge deal this season, playoffs are an afterthought to me at this point
oneye: the way you lose matters, tonight was not a bad loss, Denver was a bad loss
UtahJazz32: i aint saying tank, but don't force things just embrace our fate .. get a nice pick blend him in with our chemistry perhaps a stretch 4

Yes, he played well when he wasnt forcing it or trying to go ISO. He played off of good screens to get wide open squared up shots. Those are his shots he is good at.

I get giving Hood **** for some things he does, but being aggressive looking for his shot in a close game where he had a hot quarter is a good thing.

Hood had 2 or 3 iso buckets in this game. No Jazz player is scoring well as the PNR ball handler this season.

Yes it is.

Rubio's is a much smaller sample size and largely go back to his early hot start to the season.

Rubio's sample size is smaller but not much. Hoods sample size is also very small.

68th percentile is not good.

There are about 140 players qualified with enough minutes and games that are doing a better job of PPP and 190 qualified players shooting a better percentage in that situation. Including multiple players on the Jazz.

Its not a good shot. But you can keep arguing it.

Rubio is struggling to shoot and his assists are down because the ball isn't in hands as much as last year in Minny. But he's a plus defender and when he's on the court our offense seems to be way more organized.

Our bigger problems are
- No Rudy
- Running offense through Hood is a disaster
- Hood sucks in general
- Any lineup that has Hood or AB in it plays terribly. And when they are in the same lineup it's even worse.

idk, I mean, if Hood had made an actual move to get a good look for himself that would've been one thing. He just sorta dribbled out the shot clock and then launched a contested 3.

He did have a couple and he also missed a bunch of them as well.

I agree he is decent in pick and roll when he gets open off the screen and shoots an open squared up shot, that is what I just said he did a good job with. When he tries to force passes or drive out of it, it usually does not go well but those open shots are great. Hood is a good shooter.

When Rubio's in the game the offense is terrible without optimal floor-spacing.

UtahJazz32: the plans gotta be move some pieces at the deadline or prior strengthen our formula maybe unload hood, burks, jj, favors ?
UtahJazz32: use those moves as a segway to the draft and boom ... we back in dis. f hayward btw
yamers: sorry to break it to you
yamers: hood is stayin

Calling off a screen that he was playing off of well is the bad decision.

Other players made bad decisions as well. Hood didnt lose us this game. Multiple things did. That was still a bad decision and part of the problem with Hood in general. He needs to let the game come to him and not force situations he is bad in.

I want Hood to start and I want to keep Hood. He just needs to adjust his game and play within the offense.
