Some of the statements in this thread are way overblown. Utah was a 51 win team last year and replaced Haywood with Mitchell and Hill with Rubio. If anything, our bench is better than last year. This team isn't the disaster area some are making out to be.
3 key factors make up the difference. Gobert being injured, poor fit and because of those factors the team has never had a chance to jell. We need to replace a one or two key pieces and become healthy and this team could easily be better than last years.
The hard part is finding one key piece. Hate to say it, but this team could benefit from some timely injuries to finish off the tank. That's our best shot at finding the right player in the draft, or having a pick valuable enough to trade for a significant player.
