Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

We have about 10 cupcake games on the schedule... say we go 9-1 in those games. Need to go 6-5 with the rest... doable, but i think we are more likely to miss the playoffs than make it.
 
Jazz are still ONLY 3.5 games out of 5th. Not saying they can get that high but having so many teams that close bodes well for the Jazz with a lighter schedule. I'm not worried. If they start dropping the gimme's then we can be worried.
 
NO, OKC, Porty, and Denver do have some games against each other. It will be key for us to win against NO, LAC, and Portland in the head to head matchups. Minny is a .500 team without Jimmy Butler... if we beat them twice there is a slim chance they fall to the playoff bubble.

Last few games have been rough... just don't like the way we are playing at all.
 
Minny has a tough schedule without Butler they could be in a rough spot.

I don't think minny makes it. 500 would be good for them with their schedule and no butler. Even at 500 that gives them 45 wins. Don't think that makes it this year. Pelicans also. They need to win 11 more just to get to 55 with a pretty hard schedule. Their last 10 has been extremely easy. Those 2 teams are about to fall

I made myself believe that posting this info was doing my part, but the story the numbers tell is rapidly shifting in the wrong direction. Regardless, here's what the Jazz need to do the rest of the way in order to overtake each of the teams in front of them if the competition continues to win at their established rate:

March 1 - Twolves/Blazers
March 2 - Twolves/Jazz

I think the T-Wolves game on March 2 is a MUST win for us. They are on a back to back and we are coming off of three days rest.

Also, I think the Pelicans will make the playoffs. Anthony Davis is playing possessed right now.

PELS are 7-3 in last 10 games. They only played 3 play off teams in that 10 game stretch they lost to jazz, minny. Other play off team was Miami. Rest of the games were tank teams. Next 10 games 8 are against play off teams. They are about to fall hard. Only 6 games left against crap teams. They won't sustain

Wolves also. Only 6 non playoff teams left on schedule. No Jimmy butler. They are gonna fall hard

I think twolves, and Pelicans fall out of the playoffs. 2 really tough schedules remaining, and key injuries. Current Pelicans play will not hold.

I'm in the Camp that is glad the Clippers won. I want the Jazz to get to the 6 seed or Not make it. Don't want to watch a playoff series against Houston because I hate Harden and the Jazz winner have a chance. Also don't have a chance against GS. I'd rather ally the teams stay close and if jazz do their job, they can pass 4-5 of them. If not then they miss the playoffs.
 
Kings weren't much help, as expected. I think the Nuggets are more or less locks to get in, so personally I wanted them to beat the Clippers, but I guess that one of the less important ones.
Tomorrow (in lieu of Stoked):
Thunder @ Mavs (yeah, right)
Pels @ Spurs (win-win, really. A while ago I was 100% certain Spurs were in, now not so much)
Rockets @ Clippers
 
I wonder if Leonard returning to the Spurs will help stop them from falling further. Since the Pels are closer to being out, I'm hoping for a Spurs victory.
 
i think the Clippers will make it, and i think two of Minny, Pels and Nuggets won't. A lot of people are talking the Nuggets up to get 4th or 5th but their D is atrocious and they have a murderous finish to the season.
 
Spurs beating Pelicans by double digits and Aldridge leaves the game with a sprained ankle and Pop gets ejected.
