Spence Checketts gone

Sometimes I think cuz I’m not mega rich my kids will lose out on some opportunities... then I remember trust fund kids don’t necessarily capitalize on the things given them.

Sad hopefully he turns it around.

To be more serious, what's the actual "caught rate" of DUI? 10% maybe? 1 out of every 10 times you drive under the influence you're caught? Four arrests means he's done a HELL of a lot more than four times.

He'd also been ranting a lot on his twitter recently. Makes me wonder if he was under the sauce sending those out.

Hard to be taken seriously in an industry such as sports broadcasting when you'd be dismissed as the Jack Daniels talking.

I think the caught rate is a lot closer to 1% than it is to 10%.

This guy should be in jail. 4 DUIs (actually caught, real number is probably much higher) is about 4 too many.
People act like DUIs are not punished severely.

All DUIs go to jail.

All DUIs lose their driving privileges for, I believe, 6 months for a first offense. Longer for a second and I'm not sure when an ignition device is required that you have to breath into to unlock.

The fines are over $1000 for a first offense.

You will pay more than $10,000 in additional insurance costs.

You must attend a thing where someone who had a relative killed by a DUI driver tells you their story.

You must go to counseling to determine if you have a substance abuse problem.

You will most likely be sentenced to community service (picking up trash on the side of the road or something like that) and a work-release jail sentence (where you check-in at the jail but don't actually have to stay there).

There are many jobs you will no longer qualify for.

DUIs are punished. Which is great! Call a ****ing UBER if you want to go out and drink.

I'm really lucky in that my wife is always willing to pick me up if she can if I got to a party or out to drink. If she can't do it, I take an UBER.

Good. DUI should not go unpunished. Plus his phony shtick with Monson was insulting. I bet Monson hated working with him.

I’d say the percentage is much closer to somewhere around 2-4%. Think about the number of drivers on the road in one small time period.

He should be in jail, period. He clearly wasn't punished severely enough the previous 3 times cause here we are again. 4 times he was caught. That's at least 4 times that we know of that he could've killed innocent people. He should not have a license and at the very least should have one of those breathalyzer things for his vehicle before he can turn it on.

I knew the dude was a dumpster fire by his awful takes. Hope he gets help and then stays far the hell away from further commentary on Utah sports.

I'm guessing he doesn't have a license. And the way it works, when you don't have a license you don't have to put the ignition interlock on your car because supposedly you're not supposed to be driving.

Yeah, at 4 I think he should absolutely do real jail time. But how much jail time do you think he should do? Life +20 years? How much of a punishment would be enough for you?

I hear ya, I guess it just upsets me cause I worked forensics for 15 years and there was so many instances where bad things could've easily been avoided.
