That wasn't a very satisfying explanation. I'm more impressed by the alien baby version, even though I've never even heard it.
Mutations?! Ya right! I've always been passionate about exposing the TRUTH about this story since I heard about it 20 seconds ago. The alien baby should be put on a rocket and fired at the sun, as I assume the costumes of its people to be.

Conspiracy person's viewpoint: Alien found. Organization tries to solve the mystery behind it. Government funded scientists "that received a picture of the alien from a friend" come out of the woodwork to say that it is not an alien. Government cover-up!!!
