Could We Use Trey Burke

Simmons is shooting 54 % this season, slightly better than Burke and alot better than DM. He does not need to shoot the 3s because he is a great scorer inside the paint.

No, he doesn't shots jump shots because he can't make them and is a terrible shooter. I'm pretty sure Gobert could beat him in a shooting contest.

That pretty sad Simmons is only slightly better than Burke but didn't shoot jump shots at all.

Also lol at you comparing shooting percentages with guys that actually shoot.

I guess Gobert is one of the greatest shooters ever based on that?

when you can score at will inside the paint like simmons, you don't need a jump shot.
 
Ironic isnt it? Former jazzmen Trey Burke and Enes Kanter in New York coached by Jeff Hornaceck.

Still losing like the last time they were together.

I wonder if Jeff sometimes does a face palm and thinks about those drafts when he wanted Kawi Leonard and Gianis but the jazz got Enes and Trey.
 
I’m not sure anyone in the world thought that Burke would have the season that he’s currently having.

Sure, keep lying to yourself. Simmons can't score at will and desperately needs to learn to shoot. Unfortunately his shot looks way to off and he doesn't have the work ethic to fix it. He can't even fix his free throw shooting.

When you can't score outside the paint you have to defer to others to carry you.

No work ethic? Really has that been reported.
I thought he just isn't a very good shooter with bad mechanics and possibly shooting with the wrong hand. I mean if 'work ethic' were all it took why can't O'Neale shoot consistently well?

Simmons is averaging 16 pts per game at 54% and he can't score? LOL
 
some people will always complain. same at work same here. some spurs fans complain about pop. some cavs fans complain about lebron. let’s just appreciate what we have. DM is a special player

He can't make free throws as a PG. Pretty decent indicator.

I didn't say he can't score at all. I said he can't score from outside and isn't scoring at will. 16ppg is nice but not at will. That's not a #1 option in offense, maybe not even a #2.

A lot of talk about Trey Burke, but I would rather play against him twice a season than try to win with his *** 82 times a season. We tried that before and it was a ****ing disaster. In objective ways too, not just aesthetically.

Even when he shoots well it is a tough fit for us. He’s a ball stopper... tough to have in our offense.

I’m happy for him though. I liked him when he was here through the good and bad. Will continue to root for him.
 
I am so happy for Burke. The man has completely resurrected his career. I don't know how though. Every time I saw him play, he didn't even look like an NBA player.
