Chokers

I have to admit that I was really mad last night and am still upset over how the Jazz snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last night. The players the Celts had on the floor would probably not win the GLeague championship. The 2nd Atlanta loss and the loss is Miami are symptomatic of the talent or lack thereof on this team. Look at the bnch +- last night and that tell you a lot. I'm still fuming.

Bad losses happen in the NBA. Everyone thats followed the Jazz know how much they've choked in the past. Last night, and Atlanta are, to me, the games that got away. For some reason, I'm not seeing them as choke jobs. The Jazz have exceeded my expectations this year.

I still think the Jazz will right this ship before the playoffs and be an extremely tough out for any opponent they face. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they turn back the hands of time and emulate the old Detroit team that wasn't that spectacular but had great defense and team play and won it all.

It was a gutless garbage loss for sure. What's interesting is Favors was +15 while the next closest was Ingles at +2

Some bad coaching decisions last night, especially on the last play. When I saw 5 small players on the floor for Boston and saw who Snyder put out, I knew we were in trouble. Stevens is a really good coach, and did a great job against us.

That said, overall, the Jazz have done a good job overcoming deficits and maintaining leads. Probably as good or better than I have ever see them do. You have to expect some poor losses. When the Jazz lose, it often seems it is to the teams we should be defeating.

Yeah, but if we put a bunch of wing defenders out there and they closed out with a shot at the rim, we'd be talking about what a poor coaching decision that was. I think you leave Rudy in. All they needed was a bucket to win. Take away the high percentage shots and pressure the perimeter. It didn't happen on that play. You run that strategy 100 times, odds come out in the favor of pushing low-percentage shots..

Jazz defense is good enough ,Jazz offense with Mitchell ISO ball kills ball movement and is leading to losses. Their's no way in hell this will work against Houston or a healthy G.S. Ball movement is essential against these two teams and Jazz have moved away from that and have shrunk their rotation to defense only ball players. Snyder and Jazz have set themselves up for low scoring games where they don't have enough offense to win the tight ones.

How about this take: The zone thing was a gimmick that paid off for Stevens, who had less to lose in this game than we did so went with a bold strategy. It's not a long-term solution or a way for teams to consistently best Utah.

You’re sorely underestimating the talent the Celtics still had on the floor last night. They had some high draft picks and very athletic guys. They would smoke every team in the G-league. You’re overreacting.

It felt a little familiar with the rotations at the end of the game. Similar to what Sloan would do, and I understand it works more times than not but I wish Snyder would go a little more with the flow of the game. When we were attacking the rim they had no answer. I'm guessing they still have Exum on minute restrictions but he was putting a lot of pressure on defenders and when paired with Mitchell it had the defense scrambling. Wish he would have finished the game. I would rather see an unsuccessful drive than a desperation three as the clock expires. (Crowder was fouled on the follow through, which wasn't called) but we need better possessions the last two minutes. It also looked like Mitchell was too quick to defer on the last possession, but I'd have to watch again to double check that, and I just can't stomach watching it again. Seeing Bane's in the middle of the court with his victory yell makes me want to puke.

It stuck me that the fellas acted like they had never seen and played against a zone that last 3 minutes. "OMG it's a trick. No one follows the cutter going through the lane."

I think the rest of you are doing this wrong

**** loss, but we'll be fine. Still control our destiny for very favorable seeding. Need to take care of business.
