Have we ever had a team this unified?

Not an ego in the bunch. EVERY SINGLE VET on the bench exploding when Mitchell hit that last 3. Mitchell talking Crowder down, the bromance between Rubio and Mitchell at the end. To a man they love playing together. The only team I can think of with that dynamic in recent memory were the warriors last year. And look where it got them (along with their 73 all-stars of course).

I think the Finals teams were. It’s just something we haven’t seen in 20 years or if you were swimming around in your father at that time.

I can't think of another franchise who's players LOVE one another as these guys seem to do. Not even the dubs. And unlike the Warriors, no one is even a showboater.

Even those teams had their malcontents. Ostertag was an example. This team to a man love each other and love playing together. Very rare.

Well, last season Joe Johnson talked about the Jazz having no knuckleheads. But we know Hayward was somewhat isolated from the rest. With offloading Hood for Crowder, I'd probably guess this is the most unified. But as Avery mentioned, a lot of us aren't old enough to remember the Finals teams.

Last year there was the Hill/Gobert controversy.

The Utah Jazz have the best locker room in the NBA. It's not even close.

Crack open a dictionary and look up "team" and you'll see a picture of the Utah Jazz.

I hope so badly that they get past the next round (obviously I really hope they win a championship) because at that point the media attention and the debate as to why they are so good will come around to how well they support each other. I think Quin is a huge part of that culture, but obviously, beyond complimenting each other skill-wise, they all have the "character" and their personalities mesh.

Most likeable team the NBA has ever seen, only most people don't know enough about this team to see it... yet.

I have been watching for a long time and I don't recall a team even being close to this unified. The finals years there were often spats or at the least love/hate relationships between foster, malone, Larry h, and osterfart. There were a few years with Millsap and memo that were pretty good, but AK, Boozer, and slick wildly all had their selfish moments... not even to mention coach.

This is a VERY unique couple year and it was very good with Hayward last year but clearly they have built on it.

I started to follow the Jazz during the 94-95 season and I believe the first finals team was especially close. Someone mentioned the trouble that arised from the frustration with Ostertag's lack of work ethic, but at that point it wasn't an issue yet, since he was at his second season and seeming to, let's say, bloom. In his third season, in which the Jazz went to the finals a second time, Ostertag indeed regressed, which frustrated Malone -- who probably hoped for some relief on the boards -- and the coaching staff, who had to work around Ostertag lack of conditioning by increasing Keefe and Foster roles, since Carr couldn't be counted on at that point. Success also bring people together and during that first finals run it was like seeing something magical happening.

I really think you need to sign Favors and Rubio and bake that cake. Mitchell is a rookie, and every player is still getting better. Gotta see what this group + draft picks can do. No ****ing up the chemistry at this point.

This. This team seems special. And that's probably understating it. We should make every attempt to extend Rubio this off-season (let's not have it linger during next season) and re-sign Favors. His length, rebounding, two-play way, lunchpail manner, ability to play big in huge games, and perhaps slowly developing 3 (it can only get better and help) is needed. Especially when we see just how often Crowder drives us nuts.

It would be a luxury to re-sign Exum as well but I don't see it as crucial. Frankly, his shaky play as of late may be a blessing and we may be able to retain him for far less than we thought as of just a couple weeks ago. But if we can retain him and Sefalosha comes back healthy, **** man, we can win it all.

Maybe 2003-2004 Jerry's kids? They seemed to like each other a lot and that underdog 9 win prediction label ESPN threw at them before the season.

Just watched the second half after work tonight, they really are playing some great team ball. Working hard for each other, looking after each other, sharing the ball, trusting and believing in each other, winning together and losing together. You dont often see that its fantastic.

I think it’s all because of Burks. He is the glue
That is so fitting. Like glue, you don't see it if it is being used right. As long as it is invisible it is doing its job, and if you see a lot of it, your project is probably all ****ed up.

This team is better than last year's team imo. We're better defensively (no glaring ****** defenders) and have better quicker ball movement. Our shooting efficiency could improve but that's going to happen next year. Everyone is going to stay in Utah over the summer, work their *** off, and we are going to be the best team in the league next year.
