Wow! You forget how good he was in that uniform and how good the team could have been. If this season was truly about winning and not about saving money (i.e., letting Matthews, Korver, and Brewer go) then the Jazz would have been in the top 3 in the west. If they maintained any shooting from the 2/3 positions and had a healthy Okur, it would have opened up the lane for Williams and Jefferson.

What a bummer. I loved watching DWill. It's not very often a franchise gets lucky enough to pick up two amazing PG's in two decades. I'll hold my judgement of this move for the next couple of years to see how this team shapes up, but as of right now, yes, NJ got the better end of the deal.

Absolute best of luck to the Nets, and to Deron Williams himself in all of his future teams unless he joins the Lakers of course. Id love to see him in a Jazz uni again some time in the future, hell still always be league-wide #1 PG to me amongst CP3, Rose and the others.
