Hobie Brown, at times, annoys me for his out of date/cliche/or off assessments (that said, does his homework and knows bball.) I've always dismissed him as an old dude, but just realized he's 84 years old. 84... Damn. I feel bad, partially, for dismissing his assessments, as an old guy, but knowing he's 84... eighty four... I respect him so much more.

What the hell ever happened to Nissalke? I don’t know why, but my favorite memory of him was when I was listening to the (2006?) draft and he went off on how Bargniani (sp?) was drafted number one.
 
Is Ron Boone up next? These old cats have forgotten more than you will ever know and are still up to speed. Most here just dont recognize the intricacies they put out.
 
I watched the documentary on Hot Rod Hundley last night. Getting old sucks.

It is admirable that Hubie Brown can sort of do the job at age 84, but I'm not sure that means that he should.

Hubie is fine for a few regular season games... I used to enjoy him but it’s time. The guy I’m amazed still has a job is Reggie Miller... not insightful, not entertaining and just says dumb stuff.

Brent Barry Ian Eagle team is by far my favorite. Brent does his friggin homework and seems pretty chill.

I so wish we had Brent Barry after Hornacek retired.
 
He looks like a great person. I wish him the best. Might not be the best commentator anymore but still amaze me how he is doing this at age 84.

I've always had a soft spot for Hubie.

Hubie coached the high school basketball (and l believe baseball) team in my town in the early 60's

He just strikes me as a guy who loves to teach . I know I'll miss him when he's done.
