Rubio to join the T'Wolves next season

I think it could be a mistake for Cleveland not going with wlilliams and knight vs Irving and who over is left at 4.

Williams
Kanter
Irving
Knight

Vs

Irving
Kanter
Williams
?

Well at least that is what I would do

Honestly, this make me happy for the wolves. I thought it would be ****** of him to not come over after wasting number 5.

Agreed. Williams/Knight I think would be better than Irving and Vesely/Leonard/etc. Of course the best situation for Cleveland would be taking Irving #1 and us passing on Kanter.

I think the Cavs select Irving. HOWEVER, you would have to think that in order to secure Rubio, they guaranteed him that they will not be selecting a PG of any variety with #2 this year. So here's to hoping that the Cavs pass, and they keep their (speculated) word.

True, but they could try to trade with Minny and net themselves Irving and Williams.

That was a rumor at one point. In the opinion of most experts Irving >>>> Knight. Cleveland would be foolish to pass on the consensus "surest" thing in this draft and hope Knight is still available and would develop into a starter. If they passed on Irving, I think there would be a ton of trade offers for Minnesota to consider. Then Utah could very well take Knight if Kanter doesn't impress. So Cleveland could be stuck with Williams/Kanter. Now that might be a very good draft, but I think they are really looking for a franchise PG.

Whatever happens, I just don't see Irving slipping to #3. He'll either be taken by Cleveland or Minnesota will select him for another team.

Kanter's workout and interview with us is tomorrow and the next day, right? I think this will ultimately give us the answer to the question of who we will take at 3.

If I'm Minnesota I draft Williams and trade Beasley, I wonder if Minnesota would trade Flynn, Beasley, Johnson for number 3 pick plus bell . Gives Minnesota. A great core of rubio Williams love kanter plus cap space to go after Crawford. Utah gets rid of bell picks up depth in beastly, Flynn needs a change, and Johnson. Is better then bell plus Utah could use the 12 the on Singleton or jimmer

Dan Gilbert loves Derrick Williams so there is still hope, Ricky Rubio just signed with the Timberwolves, meaning the best possible scenario for the Jazz of Kyrie Irving falling to #3 still has a little chance of happening. I really hope Williams wows the Cavaliers, enough for them to take him #1...

I wouldn't do it if I were us or even them.

So Minny trades a #2 pick, #4 pick, and #6 pick (I think for Flynn right?) for our #3 and crappy Bell? Seems one sided

Unless Minnesota takes Kanter. Then the choice is betweem Williams and Knight. The fact he is spending two days with the Jazz may indicate KOC is pretty certain Cleveland is going with Irving and Minnesota will be taking Williams.

There was also the quote by Greg Miller a few days ago about the Jazz not being concerned over having too many players at one postion and then more recently, the comment about Utah preparing as if Okur will not be playing nect year. It's a wise move. You just never know how Memo's body will respond once he attempts to go full speed again.

I've never thought of that. If they select Irving and we take Kanter or Williams, who the hell does Cleveland select at 4? Gilbert wants to win now and doubt he would take a project like Jonas and wouldn't take another PG. Would he take Kawhi Leonard? If he is so enamored with Williams, he should take him 1 and then take Knight at 4. That would be better than Irving and leonard IMO

Kanter will be with the Jazz for tommorow and friday, this somewhat reassures me since the Jazz will be with Kanter for two days, and they are getting to him before anyone else.

Kanter > Knight at #3

Agreed, solid points.
