Do you think the raps org was just hoping and praying Casey wouldn't win COY would've loved to be a fly on that wall

I don't think requiring ONE win against a guy and his buddies is asking too much. They also got blown out in game 4.
Yeah, hard to say. I don't love their roster, they don't exude mental or physical toughness to me.It's not, I would agree. But I don't think that would have saved his job. He got beat by maybe the best player of all-time. I don't think any coach is going to step in and do a significantly better job than he did with that roster.
Philwho? can't recall.
Not beat but at least be competitive. Nobody is firing McMillan. Case on the other hand lost 10 last games vs Cavs in playoffs. Enough is enough.I'm surprised, and frankly think it's a bad move.
If the standard is that you have to be able to beat LeBron in the playoffs to keep your job...no team in the East has done that for 8 seasons.
Good video for Casey apologists.
I love Toronto. One of the greatest cities in the world. I attended Ridley College for a year - Raptors inaugural year. Saw Oliver Miller play.![]()
I love me some Quin, but maybe you noticed the Celtics going to the ECF with their 2 best players out? As much as I hate Haywood and the Celtics, I can't imagine picking Quin over Stevens and keeping a straight face.Unless I missed something, Casey was voted by fellow coaches for their specific coach of the year award, not the traditional one that Snyder will win.
Or at least the one he should win. He should've won the other one, too.
I mean, you know what the "E" in "ECF" is, right? I don't love the argument either. However, we'd be talking regular season, and Quin had a bigger mountain to climb and harder schedule. I think that's a pretty hard to dispute.I love me some Quin, but maybe you noticed the Celtics going to the ECF with their 2 best players out? I ain't even dogging on Stevens. Hell, I wanted him so bad that I remember where I was when I heard he was hired by the Celtics.
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Utah should’ve been dead in the water, and they came together to improve on what they did last year - despite losing or trading 4 of their top 6 scorers before the trade deadline.Missing 2 all stars >>>> playing in the east
Anyway, I'd take at least one or 2 other coaches over Snyder this year. Utah was a damn good team last year and was again this year. Just because some people expected us to fall off the map without Haywood, doesn't mean they were right to think that way.
