I'm already seeing it - Lebron, Kawhi and PG going to LA. They'll jettison either Ball or Ingram and throw in Kuzma, maybe some picks and fill the rest of the roster with cheapo vets looking for a ring and some minimum contracts.

I don't understand how it's breaking news all of a sudden though. So what have you heard about why Leonard went Diva?
 
aside, how weird is this Kawhi saga? What on earth did the Spurs do to him? Yikes.
 
We definitely dont have the resources to trade for him. I would love him on the team paired up with Mitchell and Gobert. I would give up anyone besides those two but late 1st round picks and rotational players are not going to land you Leonard, no matter how many of those you throw at them. Lottery picks, good young players and all-star or close caliber players are worth wayyyyyyyyyyy more. We dont have any of those to trade. I am guessing Spurs will stay in win mode though.

Even if for some reason we could compete with other offers we probably shouldnt for a rental.
 
The cynic in me believes this is about the money. If the Spurs were a big market, then he wouldn't want out.

If I am the Spurs I would ask for Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and picks. Someone like Frye would have to be thrown in to make the salary work. Maybe Lakers could demand that Spurs also take back Deng to help them out but I think the Spurs would still do that.

Lakers will always over pay with picks and players to get their guy because they are confident in FA.
 
wonder what happened. How does guy like kawai who looks like he doesn't care about national media thing want to go to LA?

Maybe he just wants to go home?
 
this is about 3 things...and this is what I have gathered reading and tracking his leonard mystery.

1. trust was lost
leonard injury happened a while ago, and the team nor leonard's camp still agree on what the real injury was nor how to go on about it.

2. money
big market, more money from sponsors. I just don't think leonard is that superstar marketer that his uncle thinks he is. guy is way to mute, you need a certain level of charisma to pull off any kind of sponsorship deals. Nobody cares about leonard b/c he's literally the most dull person on earth. Hardcore bball fans know him sure, but the average fan knows **** all about him.

3. his uncle is a *******
a huge rift started happening when leonard fired his old agent for his now new agent, HIS UNCLE. His uncle has been a **** bag from the onset and a major thron in the side of the spurs org.

4. The "3hour practices"
Pop very much makes his players WORK hard. playing for pop means you must put on your work trousers on day in and day out, pop expects perfection. Leonard I think isn't too fond of this.
 
forgot to mention, some of the spurs fans believe that leonard isn't the brighest guy and that his uncle has completely manipulated him at every chance for his own self enrichment.
