Following Potential 2018 Draftees

In the playoffs this year or for the regular season? He greatly improved across the season and his role grew. He especially played much better when Wall was out and he had a chance to do more.
That might be the case, but if you wanna be the board stat guru, you should probably know what they actually mean and know the figures of the guy you're pimping before doubling down? I think when a player has bad PER AND bad splits that that's a pretty good representation the vast majority of the time.

It's worth noting that I think going after Wiggins is worth considering despite that some of his advanced figures are bad (although they aren't as bad, and he shoulders a huge load).

I am definitely not the stats guru on this board. I do like to post stats though and look at them. I am not sure what you are referencing with knowing what they mean, if it is about PER I feel okay about that one and my description.

There are some great stats for the guy I like, that is one of the reasons I like him. I posted one of them but there are more.

Not bad. Moves the Jazz up a tier in terms of talent. Guess it depends on if the player Lindsey really likes is there at #15.
I'm not sure there's a ton of separation in the prospects projected to go at 15 and 21. I honestly don't see a ton of separation between 15 going into the 2nd round. But yeah, if the Jazz see a guy that slips a bit and don't see him slipping further (Miles Bridges?)?

Okay, but you are literally wrong about PER though. It is based on per-minute performance.

And that is where I will stop. I'm not trying to Cy you.

I'd only trade up if Mikal Bridges, Zhaire Smith or Lonnie Walker fell to a spot where we could trade up for them. Or if it was a situation where we needed to move up a couple spots to get Okobo. Other than that I'd rather stay at 21.

I think one of them will be there and not 21. I'm not terribly high on any of them. I put Miles Bridges on a similar plane as Mikal, but I think the fit is better here with his ability to play big (Mikal has longer arms but has a substantially weaker frame).

Well on the Lowe post, Givony had just said that he'll be attending the Under 16 comp. next month...etc...

So to anyone who thinks PG_AB is the 'weird one' scouting 15 year olds... well... he may just be the genius one amongst us.

Favors with a three point shot.

Have him pull the Jarron Collins 20-30 lb weight loss between draft and camp.

So I guess the way the Washington thing COULD happen is:

-Washington wants to really trust the Jazz
-the Jazz could promise to jettison enough cap to absorb Gortat after July 1st
-Washington selects who the Jazz want, then perform the transaction after July 1st (probably also throwing in Bradley or Udoh).

In that scenario, the Jazz keep 21 because the Wizards save a ******** of money.

In that scenario the Wizards just KEEP who the Jazz selected, and send a gift basket. That is what I would do if I were the Wizards and saw what the Jazz have done to the Nuggets.

And he’s got a motor like draymond Green.

Omari Spellman is going to be a damn good player for someone. I’d love to have him for us. His outside shooting with Gobert would spread the court unlike we’ve ever seen. The last big we’ve had that could shoot like him was Money Memo.

I think DD has the fire that match DM, but Spellman’s got the exact skill set we need: rebounding, defense, and shooting. And I don’t think he needs many touches or development to bring a lot of that to the floor early on. Good passer, too.

Think Washington goes for:

-Burks, #21 (and Joe Johnson TPE)

-Gortat, Satoransky, #15

?
Satoransky has positive value on his own, I don't think they would be willing to just give him up to dump salary. IMO they don't do this. Also... this is technically illegal deal since you cannot combine players with TPEs(but it can be done as two separate deals - Gortat for Burks and the pick swap and Satoransky for the TPE)....

IMO a more possible trade is something along the lines of

UTA gets #15, Jodie Meeks (using the TPE)
WAS gets #21, WAS 2021 second round pick

This is only in case they don't get any better offer. It will save them some money from the luxury tax and it gives them back their second round pick we got from them for Trade Burke.

Another option:
UTA gets #15, Gortat
WAS gets #21, Burks

(WAS saves 1.9M)

COMBINED WITH

UTA gets Jodie Meeks(using TPE)
WAS gets fake second rounder

(WAS saves 3.3M)

Washington saves 5.2M is salaries and even more in luxury tax to move back 6 spots.

So you're saying it works?

I am fully aware of that as I mentioned it earlier in the thread.

Anyway, I know Satoransky is a nice player, that's why I targeted him.

Yah, it works, but IMO precisely because he's a nice player it won't be him that WAS will be dumping. They probably will want to dump Meeks instead.
