dunno why, the kid can play, too big a talent to pass up as my tenth man, some of the vitriol directed toward him has been nuts. Personally I think he and Donovan should have split the award like Hill and Kidd did.

Simmons reminds me of Kaepernick, he was like no other QB, he was a freak of nature in every sense of the word, could run, and I’ve never seen a qb with an arm like his, he was great that first year to the point that Jaws said he had potential to be the greatest qb ever. The only problem was that he was great as long as he didn’t have to sit in the pocket, and make reads, but that wasn’t the case. The 49ers tried to turn him into a pocket passer, and nfl finally had tape on him, and his production declined a little each year after that.
There is now tape on Simmons, super gifted with all the physical attributes you need, except he can’t shoot, and won’t shoot. Boston gave everyone the blue print on how to take away a lot of his effectiveness. Now there’s a chance he’ll get better, but possibly not much more, ore he could go the Kaepernick route. I hope I’m not wrong
