If I'm the Spurs I ask for Simmons + Miami's 1st pick for Kawhi and be done with it.

If Simmons is the price you pay for Kawhi (and also bringing LeBron with him), you do it.

Again I doubt we get PG13 but if we want to have a chance at him we have to root for anyone else besides the Lakers to land Leonard. That seems like a domino. If Lakers land Leonard then Lebron is likely to sign there and PG13 gets what he wants. He wants to win but he also wants to play in a good situation and play at home in LA. This would give him everything he wants. But if someone else lands Leonard Lebron isnt going to sign with that team. Maybe he convinces PG to sign at the same time but its less likely.
One big problem with PG13 signing with the Jazz is what happened to Durant when he signed with the team that beat him in the playoffs the year before? He is still getting **** for it. PG13 will get **** for signing with the team that beat him in the playoffs and he knows that.

Yes, I think dumping Burks would be easy. He is an expiring, he is young, and he showed a lot in the playoffs. I think some teams would take a chance on him. Worst case you throw in a pick. Thats obviously worth it to land pg13.

It's not easy. No one has cap room and Burks can barely get off our bench he's so mediocre but some team will take him because he showed something for a game or two? I don't buy it. If he was so freakin' good, we'd play him. More importantly, we'd have to renounce all these guys before even attempting to sign George. Which is a pipe dream and a half btw. Oh yeah, and then we'd have to do so at far less than the max. But yeah, George is gonna ignore the other destinations calling him to do that because a 20 year old who had a great rookie year is texting him.
