Raul Neto re-signed

Raul Neto resigned to a 2 year/$4.4 million deal. Great value if he can stay healthy.

You are lucky NAOS is dead cuz otherwise he’d go nuts on the use of resign.

Another poster mentioned he is very attractive... probably worth mentioning here.

Once again second year non-guaranteed.

Hang in there Jazz fans, something BIG is gonna happen in about 361 days!

I like Raul, thought he should have played ahead of a certain high draft pick back in their rookie years. Not a high ceiling, but solid and the girls love him.

Yup.

Favors, Neto, Burks, Udoh, Sefolosha, Jerebko and Rubio could all come off the books.

Interesting there's nothing on Exum yet.
The Exum decision on both sides is probably the most interesting. I have no idea what his price/market is. And I have no idea what kin do length the Jazz will commit to with him. I wouldn't be surprised if Exum goes shopping but theres so little money if the Jazz offer a decent offer he will take it. I'm hoping the Jazz can resign Exum to an $8-9 mill a year for 3 years, and get one other FA with the MLE. I liked what I saw out of Niang last night during summer league, wouldn't be surprised if he makes the roster.

Honestly the Jazz are playing this exactly right. They are maintaining full flexibility for next offseason after seeing another full season to see what this team can do, what the absolute needs and changes need to be. The Jazz are in no way locked into anything they can't get out of, and also have happy players that we can see what happen with. Next offseason will be more wild than this offseason for the NBA.

My take: Unlike with Favors, Dante has yet to earn any cred with the organization, so DL hasn't any qualms with offering him a 4-year deal on the low side. I'm sure his agent is trying hard to find something better.

They also have a major payday coming to a certain player in a few years that they have to plan for.
Also, with non-guaranteed contracts they give themselves the flexibility to decide to keep or trade the player I needed. Much better leverage than a team/player option that usually has to be exercised before the free agency period starts. Having time to decide on Udoh/Jerebko gives the team plenty of room to maneuver without having to drop them first.
