NBA SUMMER LEAGUE 2018

nope i have not seen any Tony Bradley talent. Looks like he wont be DFave upgrade. Like his attitude and work he put in but he is nothing special after whole year in NBA. I understand it's only one game so i'll be watching him in this summer league but so far it's not so great.

He jus had 18 and 14 in limited minutes and was a +16 against a team that WS playing 3 NBA players, one whobeqs the 4th overall pick.

my Thought so far on the summer league

Bradley looks a lot better then he did at this point last year. He turned 20 this year so he is still very young and bigs are notorious as late bloomers. He still needs to spend a lot of time at P3 but I like the improvement and the direction he is going and wow is that guy long.

Grayson Allen has been about what I expected. He was very nervous in that first game and you could tell but he settled down in the second half and was much better. I like that he seems to be able to realize that his shots aren't falling and then looking for other ways to impact the game. That is very mature for a lot of players. He is still thinking the game and that will come with more experience in the Jazz system.

Niang should replace Jerebko on the roster it would save the Jazz 3 million to do it. He is leaps and bounds better than most of the other players on the court.

Kelan Martin should at least get a 2 way. I like the way he scores. He is very smooth and seems to play humbly. His defense is not awful and he looks like he could improve. I think he has a chance to make the NBA.

Kendrick Ray has been fun to watch. Regretfully there is not a place on the Jazz roster for him but he will get a contract in Europe for sure.

Stanton Kidd should be a training camp invite too. I think we have barely seen what he can do.

NML has some potential but the jazz are to deep at the positions he plays. SG/PG.

Ray signed to a Euroleague team a fe weeks ago.

He looks like he's ready to be an NBA backup. He has a scorer's mentality, but had some nice passes too.
The margin of skill difference between combo guards who are in and out of the league is pretty thin. I don't see why Long couldnt do what a guy like Ian Clark does given the same opportunity. He's showing he has developed PG skills and ability to finish contested layups, which I would imagine where the question marks on him coming out of college.

I’d like to see him get one of the two-way deals. Play for the Stars a bit between call-ups for the Jazz. Maybe he gets more of a shot next year. Just don’t see room for him with Burks, O’Neale, Exum, Allen and Neto all backing up Mitchell and Rubio.

Ideally, now that the G-League is becoming more established, the NBA will expand rosters to 20 players with the last 5 spots all being two-way contracts that can bounce back and forth between the G-League and their NBA clubs for development.

I went to the game last night and I am not seeing much improvement from Tony B. Made some very easy shots. Struggled with anything that was contested and gave us very little rim protection - like none at all. I think he is young enough that he may still develop but he right now I be nervous if we let Udoh walk and assume Bradley can be the insurance policy. Just not seeing it. He played in a pro am league against my sons team and knocked down four 3 pointers which really surprised me. Obvious he has been working on that part of his game but didn't see any of that last night.

What is the name of the deal where a team gives a non-guaranteed guy an amount (I think it is $50,000) and the guy agrees to play with the DLeague team if cut.

If they let Udoh walk, I'm emigrating to Russia and joining the KGB.

NBA AFFILIATE PLAYERS

When NBA teams trim their rosters during training camp and the preseason, they have the first crack at acquiring their waived players on their NBA G League affiliate.

Organizations can designate up to four “affiliate players,” though those players will remain NBA free agents. This still allows NBA front offices to identify prospects that they like and keep them in their system — especially given the current state of the league, in which all 22 NBA G League teams are singly affiliated with an NBA parent club.

Keep Udoh, let Bradley walk.

I don't see Bradley panning out either. He seems to be good at getting to the right place on the court but after that he looks like a dud. He missed some really easy layups, has no hops, doesn't look aggressive. Maybe he'll get better and he definitely has a NBA body so who knows, but I think if he moves up he'll get schooled by most back up centers.

Bradley is actually pretty good at occupying space... on the roster. Burks, too.

The way he's running the floor, scoring off pick-and-rolls, catching the ball on the move, and finishing inside with 2nd and 3rd-effort plays looks encouraging to me. He's not going to be an elite rim protector. He's just not that vertical a player. He runs with a high motor, rebounds well and has a knack for impacting plays. I think he's a rotation player, which is what he was drafted to be. His role would be similar to Enes Kanter, though he's a better defender while not being as polished offensively.

He needs another year to develop, imo. He's a bit behind Deyonta Davis in the development curve.

HT from Idaho. Idaho voted for Trump. HT going to Russia to join KGB. Somebody tell Mueller.

I’m fairly sure Idaho is a part of Russia already... or is it Canada? Can’t remember...

I think Kelan Martin can be an NBA rotation player within a year. Like other rookies, he needs to chisel his body and increase his effort level, but his talent and confidence as a shooter is there. With a little work, he could be a better version of Moe Harkless, imo. He needs to rebound more though.
