NBA SUMMER LEAGUE 2018

Bagley is such a GREAT fit for the Kings.

He seemed like he really enjoyed being there and it shows. You can't put a price on that.

And you are definitely under rating him defensively. The takes on him are pretty embarrassing and over reactions to a few bad plays.

Again, he had some great defensive plays that go completely unnoticed because of one bad play at the end. People just want to harp on the bad stuff and write off the good stuff cuz it looks too easy.
We have to agree to disagree I guess. I don't think it was one play. There were multiple of them in both games.

He has been fine. The shot is my only complaint at this point. His motion at the free throw line seems rushed or something. On TV it doesn't seem like his body made huge improvements from end of G league season to now. When you see these guys up close you get a better sense... so will check it out in Vegas (will not be seeing his dick though sorry).

He moves well for his size... he has protected the rim... his hands are pretty good. I remember him catching a tough pass from Long and finishing in one motion... all while in traffic.

There is zero sexiness to his game. Nothing to be super excited about. Had hoped to see him bang some jumpers but not yet.

If you didn't like the pick at the time (I didn't) you haven't been proven wrong... If you did like the pick at the time, then there is no real reason to get down on him. I didn't like it because of positional scarcity. He seems like a hard working, good kid, so I'm hoping it works for everyone.

FWIW I heard the Locke podcast today and he pointed out that every time Memphis needed a bucket at the end they went right at Bradley and noted that it was a concern. Ironically there were folks sitting around me at the game that made the same observation. He didn't look good. I agree that he has potential but if the first two games are an indicator we have to keep Udoh.

Ofc they going to go at him. He defended really well in the closing minutes until the last play. And hr only messed up that because he didn't trust his teammates to dig in weakside for the rebound.

He definitely wasn't picked for his defensive potential. He's slow and isn't agile.

Does Bradley have some areas he can be exploited on D? Sure. There isn't a true center in the NBA who can't, but it doesn't make them useless.

But we going to ignore him covering a PNP, containing the ball handler then recovering to JJJ at the 3pt line, running him off the 3pt line and staying with him step for step all the way to the rim contesting his drive and forcing him to miss a wild layup?

JJJ only scored inside the 3pt line twice, and it was on some small white dude who I have no idea who he is. Bradley wasn't in the game. This game Bradley scored 18 and 14 (and was +16) in 20 minutes against a NBA front line with a NBA backcourt. That's production
Hes still 20 years old.

He isn't slow and he is agile.

The lies on Bradley need to stop. His only physical disadvantage relative to other NBA players his size is his vertical explosiveness. Everything else athletically he is average or above average.

His shot is flat right now. He hasn't really been taking them though. I think hes focused on doing the stuff he is really confident in offensively and not playing outside his role. Its not like Trey Lyles 2nd year SL where the team just told him to do w/e and experiment.

LOL .. Cy digging in his heel in when he knows he's wrong needs to stop.

Yeah... the free throw shots I've seen have been what alarmed me a little. I don't see the shooting that some projected, but who knows.

With good reason too... a couple times bigs came over the centers got dunks off of passes or offensive rebounds.
