I went to the game today and here are some thoughts:
Tony Bradley and Niang had some tough calls tonight. I don't think the foul trouble was reflective of what actually happened. Bradley had at least 2 or three questionable calls (Collins was getting away with a lot of initiation, as evident with the beef with Haas)
I watched Grayson closely and although he was fairly pestering on defense, I didn't see anything that seemed like it would've flared up Wade IV to react how he did. Good to see he is already getting under the skin of players
Grayson has a quicker release than I remember in broadcasts, and his shot is very soft with good spin.
Grayson can jump high
Niang's jumper is as fluid in real life as it looks on TV. He's also a a guy with size and length. Me and some other Jazz fans around were speculating that he was the replacement to Jerebko. He seemed like he was the only one able to get to the rim, alongside Wilder a few times.
The Haas/Collins beef was real and was hella fun to watch. Collins getting heckled all night for the mask. There were actually a ton of Blazers fans as well as Jazz fans in the crowd. Coworker I went with said he'd never seen the Cox arena so full
As evident from the cold spells in shooting, the Jazz had issues cracking the Blazers interior D. Collins was making it tough in there, as well as Swanigan. Grayson was playing off the ball most the night which was kind of disappointing, I don't know if that was the game plan or if he was getting extra attention from the defense.
It was cool to see Donovan, Exum, Royce, and Lillard. Donovan was getting absolutely mobbed for autographs when he wasnt sitting in on the broadcast during the 3rd. I think it was the main reason why the Cox gym was full

I also stuck around for the Pelicans/Heat game while we waited to check out the Suns. Trevon Bluiett was shooting the lights out. ALSO, strangely enough, Memo came in for this game and sat near me. Nearly no one recognized him and I did shout 'MEMO!' which he gave me a little response to. I was sitting by a family that had a kid with a basketball who was getting autographs like nuts by pretty much every big name player in the gym, and told him that was an ex-Jazz player (even though the family were Blazers fans). He was able to get his autograph. I'm lazy and I don't get up for things like that
