Stockton, Malone and Wilkins with no rings. Zo with one...as a scrub backup. You serious with this team?
Damn straight two top 5ish-10ish players. The all time leaders in steals and assists the second all time leader in points and led a bunch of scrubs to two straight finals appearances and won two games against the greatest player that ever lived in both appearances with scrubs vs a super team pretty much. Malone is one of only a few players with back to back MVP’s let a lone more then one while doing it during the same time the greatest player to ever live. Now John and Karl have guys almost at their level, there will be no stopping the greatest duo to ever play the game. I’ve got the best synergy. Manu is Hornacek on steroids, the human highlight film Dominique Wilkins also didn’t play with some of the better players is probably the most athletic legend to dunk a basketball. The grace, the power he wielded is unrivaled, unmatched, the only one that could take down MJ in a dunk contest, and along with Malone, I have a duo that is almost unmatched offensively. Add in Stockton and Manu, and that equals even easier scoring for two of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen, both have scored 30+ in a season. Then there’s Zo, he would fit in great next to Malone, two of the most fierce competitors the game has ever seen, Zo gave everything and sacrificed everything he had to the game he loved.
This starting line up has the it factor the mental makeup to make one more play, to lay it all on the line. This team embodies what it is to perform and act as a true unit, they will be of one mind, one soul.
I tried to draft the players that love basketball more then any other, with Stockton, Manu, Wilkins, Malone, and Zo, there’s no doubt I did exactly that. They weren’t just talented, but they had the ultimate drive and love and passion for the game
Then you look at my bench, it’s filled with god given talent and physical gifts. Before the injuries, Hill was the best at what he did, a pg in the body of a wing, who took over games with his elite playmaking and IQ. He was a cerebral assassin as there ever was in the game. Pre-injury he was counted among the Kobe’s and Duncan’s. He was that good
This is all you need to know about Drazen. Reggie calls him the best shooter he ever played against, even calls him a better shooter then himself with a faster release on his shot then Steph Curry
Penny was Magic in the making before his career was sadly derailed by injuries, and one of the more beloved player around the league during his time in Orlando.
Míng had god given physical tested and skills, you can’t teach 7-6 with such a soft jump shot out to 20 feet, and almost unstoppable in the painted area, then there’s Ron Artest. He was another true competitor who could guard 4 positions and loved doing the dirty work no one else wanted to necessary to win games, like diving on the floor for loose balls, taking a charge, sacrifice his offense so he could concentrate on shutting down the other teams best player, oh and then there’s his ability to knock out James Harden, and no one on OKC dared to retaliate the blowing up of James Harden, and taking on an entire arena of fans.
And I have the players with the mental makeup and leadership that can control Artest and keep him from losing complete control
AMEN!!!!!!!
