Typical win against Sacramento - last season 2 of Utah's 3 wins against The Kings were underwhelming to say the least. They almost stole one in Utah late in the season.
WCS had a game like this against Gobert last year - he just has his number I guess.
Rubio might have had his worst game ever as a Jazz player - that's saying a lot considering how he played in the beginning of last season.
This is refreshing to say - Jazz probably would have lost this game without Exum and Burks.
:48-minute conclusion alert:rubio looks like he has completely reverted and potentially regressed, hes streaky as it gets.
Mitchell really plays like crap and puts up 24. What happens once he finds his groove? 40+ on the reg?
Yeah I think their physicality caught him by surprise a bit and threw him off. They obviously had a game plan to take him out of the game that worked pretty well. They followed up on our last game of the pre-season by preparing for us. We looked like we expected them to roll over and play dead. That is a good combination to lose what should be an easily winnable game. And I don't think we beat the spread either, so some ref somewhere won a bunch of money.Yeah, 30+ pretty easily. Sacramento guarded him well with Yogi Ferrell on his hip, followed by Iman Shumpert being physical with him.
Really only a few people had truly good games: Gobert, Ingles, Exum, Burks were the 4 that really stuck it most of the night. Favors bounced back and came on strong at the end. Crowder did fine, but if that is all he has to offer he won't play much. But the rest really need some work. First game jitters. Mitchell started to look in form toward the end of the night. Rubio just got out of the blocks poorly. They need some solid game tape sessions and practice before the next one. Shake off the rust, get the gears to mesh. We will still come on strong. When we are firing on all cylinders we will be very very hard to beat.
I dont think that's why he didnt play. It was because O'Neale doesnt provide offense and the Kings dont have wings that need to be locked down. Exum/Burks are just more talented, so they are going to play more unless the Jazz need O'Neale's defensive specialization.Royce O'Neale misses some shots. Doesn't play the rest of the game. Quin not messing around.
Disagree about Crowder. Nights like tonight are exactly what we should expect from him, and be satisfied. He's not going to wow you, but he hit shots, played solid defense and didn't make mistakes.Really only a few people had truly good games: Gobert, Ingles, Exum, Burks were the 4 that really stuck it most of the night. It’s the sign of a great player. He royally sucked in the 1st and the 3rd and still found a way to bounce back.Mitchell really plays like crap and puts up 24. What happens once he finds his groove? 40+ on the reg?
My only issue with Crowder is his stepback jumpers he randomly shoots.Disagree about Crowder. Nights like tonight are exactly what we should expect from him, and be satisfied. He's not going to wow you, but he hit shots, played solid defense and didn't make mistakes.
Yeah... I've been worried about some sort of injury for the past week. Hasn't looked right at all.Hopefully it's not caused by lingering hammy issue from last year. He looked like a corpse

I dont think it was quiet. He was on the losing end of quite a few WCS highlights. Rudy had a Kanter-like performance. A double-double but lost his matchup. Kings had the answer for him.Rudy with a quiet 19/15/3bl
