Donald Fires FBI Director who's investigating Russian Election Hacking

It is not a blatant lie.

Get real.
Of course it is. The intent was to emphasize the interaction. But no one said, "hey we sped this up." That omission, with the original changing of the video to exaggerate the interaction, show an intent to deceive. That is the very definition of a lie. To then take that and use it as an excuse to justify banning Acosta knowing that it was doctored makes it blatant.

This is likely meant to distract from the real issue of the day...the dumping of Sessions and selection of Whitaker to choke the life out of the Mueller investigation...which makes it even more blatant and devious. Read the Woodward book. Trump uses the media churn to distract and hide the bunny from his marks. As marks, we need to keep our eyes on the bunny, and not get distracted from what is going on.

Really weird to see people brushing the doctored video aside. Good God people we're in the United States of America not the USSR. We shouldn't be putting up with this ****.

I think there are degrees of doctored. If they photoshopped him pushing her down or punching her or something then it would be a bigger deal to me. The edit looks the exact same as the original to me. I see the exact same amount of contact in the same motion. It doesnt look any worse in the doctored video to me.

Because that's what you are meant to see. It exaggerates the motion to make it look worse than it was so that you see what they wanted you to see..

If it exagerrates the motion to make it look worse than it was then it failed. Big time.

It didnt look bad to me at all. Like i said, its a nothing burger. He barely touched her.

Yes. Keep the heat on this ridiculous power grab....

(CNN)There is a growing sense of concern inside the White House over the negative reaction to Matthew Whitaker being tapped as acting attorney general after Jeff Sessions' abrupt firing.

Whitaker, who was Sessions' chief of staff, has faced criticism since Wednesday afternoon's announcement for his previous comments on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Several senior officials told CNN they were surprised by the criticism, and believe it could potentially jeopardize Whitaker's chances of remaining in the post if it continues to dominate headlines.

Just saw Trump speak and he looks way more stressed than I've ever seen him. He reiterated several times that he doesn't know Whitaker and never has. Meanwhile they played video of him a month ago saying he knows him and talks to him and he's a great man.

This seems different than anything yet, very excited to see Trump's house of cards collapse.

I wonder if we COULD get him to take the stand.

Well, what do I know, but I read he accompanied Sessions to the Oval Office a lot, and basically has been sucking up to Trump on each visit, lol. His appearances on TV for quite awhile were also designed to impress Trump. The Post editorial board just pointed out just how unqualified Whitaker is. This is truly absurd!

"Then there is Mr. Whitaker’s connection to a defunct patent promotion company the Federal Trade Commission called “an invention-promotion scam that has bilked thousands of consumers out of millions of dollars.” Mr. Whitaker served on its board and once threatened a complaining customer, lending the weight of his former position as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa to the company’s scheme.

Finally, and fundamentally most damning, is Mr. Whitaker’s expressed hostility to Marbury v. Madison, a central case — the central case — in the American constitutional system. It established an indispensable principle: The courts decide what is and is not constitutional. Without Marbury, there would be no effective judicial check on the political branches, no matter how egregious their actions."

They edited the video to make his arm appear to come down with force, by speeding it up. She invaded his space twice in an attempt to grab the mic from him, on the second attempt while he is gesturing toward Trump his arm comes down and touches hers. If that's 'getting physical' with someone then I'll eat my ****ing shoe.

So infowars altered the video. Well darn, I guess infowars just lost all their hard earned credibility?

I hardly see this as the thing to hang your hat on. Sarah shared a video she may or may not have known was altered. I think the better criticism would be that she shared an infowars clip at all. And I think the still better criticism of this administration has nothing to do with this incident.

Acosta physically resisted having the mic taken away. I think that was bad form on his part. Not credential revoking worthy, not even close, but bad form nonetheless.

I'm having a hard time understanding the outrage over the video editing. I mean it's a ****ing infowars video. Infowars. I mean the guy needs to sell protein powder somehow, right?

Ok, so let's consider the two cases separately.

Supposed she knew the video was altered. Are you seriously ok with the White House Press Secretary deliberately sharing and using a doctored video as an excuse to revoke a reporter's press credentials? I sure as heck am not.

Suppose she didn't know. She certainly does now. Are you seriously ok with no apology from her to the American public for using a doctored video in this way? I sure as heck am not.

The doctored video makes Acosta's actions seem 1% more dramatic.

No, on principle I'm absolutely not okay with her either knowingly using a doctored video or not apologizing once she discovered it was doctored.

I'm just not getting this as being anywhere close to a focal point of criticism against the Trump administration or Sarah Huckabee Sanders, specifically. Not to say it isn't worthy of criticism, but I personally don't find it to be nearly as outrageous as many other things Trump does on a daily basis.

In any other administration this act alone would have cost the Press Secretary their job.

You're right that using an infowars video is the bigger issue. Actually, I'm not sure that's even an issue, since we know the administration follows conspiracy websites/personalities and often quote them.

So there is really no issue here at all. Not the doctoring, the conspiracy website, not the non-apology, and not the revocation. It's all what we've come to expect.

And really, that is the saddest part.

Trump attacking California for their wildfires. Ho hum.

How can the guy get to sleep with all the drama in his life?
