Game 16: Jazz Sweep the Celtics 5:30 MT

If we can just survive the next few weeks we'll be okay. These wins remind us that we have the talent to be elite. We just aren't there yet.

I'm just glad we won. This team has potential to win a playoff series. We need that level of success at the bare minimum to keep building towards something bigger through summer acquisitions.

Whether I believe Rubio should start for us after this season or not, I'm proud of the way he played tonight. Big win. Keep it up. Go Jazz.

I'm a big Rubio fan but I'm the first to admit his start to the season has been as awful as it gets. It's a mistery why season after season he starts awful and finishes great. I hoped this time around it would be different but no.

This game he was great though, better than the stats show.

I feel like we’ve played very well, very competitively, in most of the big games. The Dubs game, the two Celts games, the Sixers game, the Rox game. That’s promising. It’s also promising that we’re .500 despite having played the toughest strength of schedule to this point (if 3 of the 4 sources I looked at are correct) with Rubio having been God awful and Mitchell having played a little subpar.

I’m hoping we are starting to turn a corner and win at the Pacers (Oladipo is banged up) and at the Kings. We really should.

We just don’t have a lot of room for error given what I see as offensive limitations and pretty much need 2 of Rubio, Mitchell and Ingles to play well in order to win imo. Gobert almost always does so I’m not worried about him.

Jazz suck.

Curse of Hayward for treating him like crap. Good luck getting any FA to come. League has definitely noticed how rude and distasteful you treated Hayward.

Mitchell is CJ Miles 3.0 , just a chucker with a great personality.

Jazz take pride going at a 60% Hayward, Losers.
Wait till he is 100% and plays the Jazz , he will kick your *** upside down and sideways.
That won't be until next year because you will not even make the playoffs this year.

Getting #18 this year....

Keep Coming Back

Lol @ anyone hating on Rubio tonight. Both him and Exum played well in their respective minutes and it showed just how good this team can be if their PGs are producing instead of laying turds.

Yep and i think we always knew that.
If rubio and X play good then we are very tough to beat. Problem is that they have held us back in most games so far this year.

OMG, the Celtics announcers even said at the end of the game, "The Jazz have never won a game here with Hayward on their team, but they have never lost with him not on their team. Just kidding Hayward". OMG THE FIRE IS BURNING IN BOSTON!!!
hahaa yeah!!! I heard that and had to rewind to make sure that's what they said--sick burn by Tom Heinsohn and the just kidding for a quick clean-up attempt was hilarious...on a mostly unrelated note, I know Jingles constantly talks trash out there but he really went after Smart on that trip down where they both got T's...Joe blatantly drove his shoulder into Smart and then physically confronted him right in his face like he was ready to light him up...I think Smart must have done something before that...

A beautiful display of shooting percentages:
BOS: FG: 38.5% 3P: 15.2% FT: 55.0%
UTA: FG: 44.9% 3P: 28.9% FT: 63.0%
This isn't great.

Pretty rare that i see anyone complain about his passing ability. Its almost always his lack of shooting/scoring/finishing around the rim and sometimes turnovers and once in a while about his defense.
Very rarely do i see anyone complain about his passing.
Well just read lopo

Everytime Rubio gets a breakaway opportunity I’m checking to make sure another Jazz player is running behind the play to put back the miss.

Props to him for the steals though.

Was Heinsohn drunk? He sure sounded like it.
He got skip pass correct, but I laughed at one point when the refs were going over to the monitor to check for a clear path foul and he said they were checking to see if it was a 2 or a 3. Earlier he couldn't figure out the percentages and tried to hide his confusion by claiming he had another sheet of paper on top. I think he's headed down the Hot Rod path.

I did like his comment about Hayward though.

IMO, sweeping the Celtics is like winning in the first round of the playoffs. Kudos to Cy for the thread title.

I can't take Heinsohn, so I was listening to Boler and Harp, but he's hands down the worst announcer in the league. Terrible homer.

I thought he was all right last night. He had a near orgasm at one of the Jazz's plays in the 4th quarterr.
