While I love your reply I have never understood why somebody keeps trying to mix beer with different fruits expecting a good result. I tried beers with peach, apricot, cherry, orange, mango and some other fruits added and they all suck major balls. Just ruins a good beer...

I have gained an appreciation for some fruit beers, but I will never brew any myself. I don't mind beers that have fruit like flavors from hops and yeast, but don't like IPAs and such with actual fruit added to them. They generally taste like bile to me. That's not an exaggeration, that's what the flavor reminds me of.

What does work really well with fruit is sour beers, which are probably not for everyone, but they are kind of the "it" thing in the craft beer community at the moment.

One of the best beers I ever had incorporated cherry blossoms. Certainly not as sweet as an actual cherry but damn good.
 
I actually did a fair amount of reading on the Gombe Chimpanzee War(in the 70's) and would highly recommend anyone to do so.

It's indeed (In my best barbara walters voice) fascinating.
