Get the crows out for the korver haters

Well, it could be argued Burks had an equally - if not more impressive - stat line now that he's been freed in Cleveland. So right now the trade looks very good for both teams. IMO, 2nds are pretty much garbage picks. Neto has been Lindsey's only find in the 2nd; not a very good track record.

And BTW, I'm not a Korver hater. I praised the trade.

I've always been a Korver fan. I was staunchly pro-korver during the Korver/CJ Miles wars on JF

Wow. Don’t remember those but wow. Korver was unequivocally our best wing, offensively and defensively. And misutilized.

I'll always root for AB, but I was surprised at how many people preferred him over Korver in terms of fit. AB took 11 shots and 8 free throws to get his 15 points and needed 15 shots and 7 free throws to get his 17 against the Lakers. I know a lot of people think we need a high usage bench scorer, but I don't really think we did. Korver needed 7 shots to get his 14 points and two of those were desperation heaves. And he has barely been with the team a couple days. And he won't make Quin pull out his hair.

Dude is a stud. Get those crows out for the haters that whined about trading garbage Burks for him. Now we just need a trade partner for exum

As one of the resident pessimists shouldn't you be against this trade and treated as a moron for such?

If you qualify those 2 desperation heaves by korver then you would also have to analyze Burks shots and see if any of his were desperation, end of the shot clock type heaves/bailouts.

Also, you mention the free throws for Burks almost as if that's a bad thing. Getting the other team in foul trouble and getting to the line when you are shooting almost 90% from the line like Burks is, is a pro rather than a con.
Burks is a good rebounder as well.

I don't think getting to the line is bad, I just meant that I didn't think we needed a high usage "bucket getter" like Burks is. A lot of people on here were pissed that AB was traded because they thought we really needed that kind of instant offense player. I just don't think that's the case with this team.

I loved Korver. Loved him.

He did not use his talents to win games the Jazz needed to get home court in the first round of the playoffs. It was selfish and cost this franchise A LOT.

I don't question his ability. I question his willingness to use that ability for the benefit of the Jazz if it costs him, personally, anything at all.

They also lost by 100

Man it’s over... let it go... he put up two heaves tonight... let’s call it square mmmkay.

Close your ears @fishonjazz i love AB, butttttt

Not so hot take that will sound hot takey... Korver is a better defender for us than AB was. He just knows where he’s supposed to be and AB struggled with that stuff.

No.

What he did was about as low a thing as I've ever seen in the NBA. It was not excusable and I will not forgive it. The fact that I was a huge Korver fan makes it 100x worse.

K well the rest of us will just enjoy this... you enjoy your irrational spite.

Hell Sloan probably only wanted him to take them when he was wide *** open anyway. Guys play for themselves all the time... either to establish their value or for other reasons.

I also think the intangibles that Korver brings are understated. Donovan being the student of the game he will learn a lot from Korver. As will Grayson and most of the other players as well. He has experience in the largest stage which will help with any kind of playoff run. This is a great acquisition for the Jazz, especially for what it cost.

The ****ing shots I'm talking about were wide ****ing open.

Shut the **** up if you don't remember the situation I'm talking about.

Shut the **** up!

Shut your stupid *** mouth.

You don't even know why I feel the way i do.

You have no idea the significance of his refusal to take GOOD shots when his team needed those shots.

So just stop ****ing talking to me about this if you don't know the situation.

It’s not irrational at all. Korver doing that was ********. Pure and simple.

Now I’m not concerned about him doing it again. But I have no problem with people remembering
