What's new

Hard to see Knight as the #3 pick based on this analysis..

Does your Kentucky brethren agree Kanter should go before Knight?

I suspect if you were to do a poll on a major UK board, it would 90% Kanter to be drafted first. Having said that, Knight is one of the most beloved players ever at UK ... even after only one year.

I care. Tired of the tard kanter fanatics talking **** they dont know. And yes, EVERYONE is aware you are connected. You make a point to remind us every 3 rd or 4th post. Btw great job having 10k plus post on ky board. As you say...wtfc?

Where was Bentley even discussing Kanter in all of this? The whole thing is about Knight. I'm seriously curious if you meant 'tard Knight fans.'

I remember SportsNation did a poll on espn.com right after the lottery. I'm not sure the exact question but I think it was who Cleveland should draft first. I think it had you choose between Irving, Knight, Williams and Kanter. Obviously Irving was the overwhelming favorite, as the entire country was red, but good Ol' Kentucky was bright blue. Can you guess who won that state? If you guessed the freshman PG that led them to the Final Four, you're wrong. For those who guessed the Bull from Istanbul, you get a gold sticker. I was pretty surprised by the poll. Not lying when you scrolled over Kentucky it was like 75% Kanter and then like 15% Knight, then the rest were split between the other two.

The vibe I'm getting from most media outlets and Jazz peeps is similar to last year's when they discussed Hayward.

I'm pretty sure we're going with Knight. A decent athlete who is smart. Safe pick. Which is typical of this franchise.

Walt Perrin was on sportsbeat last night. While he talked about many prospects, he clearly favored Knight. A very smart student, who's likely to improve, a winner, and should be a good leader for a franchise.

those were basically the things he said. No other player came close to that level of compliments.

I thought it was a very interesting interview. When he was spoke about Kanter it seemed like the Jazz have made up their decision on him (I couldn't tell whether it was they'd take him or not at #3), when Kirkland was saying how Kanter is basically a mystery and how no one has really seen him play, Perrin quickly jumped in and said that the Jazz have more tape on him than people would think, dating back to when he was 15-16 yrs old. It should also be noted that the Jazz worked out Kanter a week after the DWill trade and were the 1st to work him out after the combine. I'm just sayin...

The thing that a lot of people on this board forget is that he has played almost every year for his national team so while probably grainy there probably is footage of him in real game actions. By the way he dominated those tournaments.

Not sure what you mean by smokescreen. Are you suggesting that they have created a smokescreen that we're just interested in Kanter or that we're going to take him? I think if anything they've put up a smokescreen that we're not going to take him. But the tough thing with the Jazz is that where there's smoke there's never a fire. Even in the case with the DWill trade, there was no smoke before or after the fact, just a bunch of radiation.

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this but Knight is very athletic.

I dont really know myself. I just see a lot smoke.

I doubt there are many that will be truly upset with a Knight pick. There's just not many obvious options at #3.
